2013 Australasian Show Horse & Rider Championships

Outstanding showring performer, Jessica Stalling rode, Sascha Parker-Eade's, 'Melody Park Heavenly Pearl' to claim the Dreamtime Stud Large Show Hunter Pony Championship and with it the Farleigh Stud Perpetual Trophy for NSW.

Zoe Murray was in action again for Victoria and took out the Argyl Stud National Small Pony Championship riding Phoebe Sutton-Kouros', 'Radford Lodge Sweet Dreams'.

Daizi Plumb stepped aboard Danyel Riemer's successful, 'Radford Lodge Candy Cane', a full sibling to the Champion (Rising Sovereign of Beckworth/Owendale Day Dreams) to claim the Runner Up award in the Argyl Stud National Small Pony Championship and an impressive double both for Radford Lodge in NSW and the Victorian effort at the 2013 Nationals.

The applause meter award of the first day of the 2013 EA Saddle Horse and Rider Championships went to NSW combination, Sascha Parker-Eade and her charming, 'Koorana Royal Sensation' pictured during the Argyl Stud Small Pony Championship.

Shantay Morris representing Queensland is pictured riding her, 'Naaman Monogram' in the Physiohelth Junior Rider 12 Years and Under Championship.

Successful Victorian young rider, Brynie Lee rode her, 'Silkwood Sublime' to claim the Physiohealth National Junior Rider 12 Years and Under Runner Up award.

Western Australian rider, Chloe Versteegen stepped aboard Hayley Gears', ' Royalwood Minuet' to ride in the Physiohealth National Junior Rider 12 Years and Under Championship.

Queensland representative, Mikayla Van Kampen rode Paul Austin's nomination, 'Chicago', a Warmblood by Medallion to take out the Physiohealth Junior Rider 12 Years and Under Championship and with it the Claney Family Perpetual Trophy and the Metherall Family Plaque.

Well performed and growing rider, Riley Kent representing Queensland is pictured aboard Jordan McDowall's, 'Rothwell Song Sung Blue' during the Sunliner Motorhomes Medium (12 & ne. 13hh) Pony Championship.

Jessica Marnie claimed the Sunliner Motorhomes Medium Pony Runner Up award for South Australia riding Charlie and Andrew Hunt's well performed, 'Argyl Royal Flush'.

The New Zealand combination of talented young rider, Isabella du Plessis riding the Cadwallader Family's, 'Eastdale Diva' was the popular winner of the Sunliner Motorhomes Medium (12-13hh) Pony Championship.

Representing Victoria, Georgia Grenewll rode her own, Olivia Grenwell and John D Marco's well performed, 'Kolbeach Crown' in the Dreamtime Stud Large Show Hunter Pony Championship.

Charlie Hunt rode her own, her husband, Andrew and Sue Castely's, 'Argyl Star Attraction' to take out the Riding Pony Stud Book Society National Large Pony Runner Up award for South Australia.

Lynda Hayes proved this evening that you cannot keep a good girl down. After a serious riding injury and having only ridden five times in the last five months, Linda produced the winning performance riding Vicki Pisciotta's 'Kolbeach Aristocrat' to claim the Riding Pony Stud Book Society Large Pony Championship for Victoria.

Shari Sweeney representing Tasmania is pictured riding Melissa Sweeney's charming, 'Barrellyn Cassius' in the Small Show Hunter Pony (N.E. 12.2hh) National Championship.

Vienna Smith rode Sarah McCormick's lovely , homebred, 'Leanda Hanky Panky' to claim the National Small Show Hunter Pony Championship and with it The Farleigh Stud Perpetual Trophy.

Naomi Karutz led her own pony and Zhoe Willison rode, 'Rivington Banknote' to claim the National Leading Rein Pony N.E. 12hh Championship for South Australia.

New South Wales representative, Eliza is pictured riding Bridey Gibson's, 'Bamborough Prunella' that put her best foot forward to take out the National Small Show Hunter Pony Runner Up award.

Successful young Queensland rider, Kirsty Harper-Purcecll took out the Runner Up award in The Pageant National Intermediate Rider (16-17) Championship.

Victorian Team member, Lily McEvoy rode beautifully to take out The Pageant Intermediate Rider Championship with some help from her super going, Towering Inferno'. Lily was awarded the Pageant Perpetual Trophy donated by Pam Ahern in honour of her wonderful hack, Pageant and also the Metherall Family Plaque that is awarded to every riding class winner.

No stranger to winning at the Nationals, Darryl Hayes produced a super workout riding Zoe Griffett's, 'Buckwell Park Delusion' to claim the National Small Galloway Championship and with it the Silkwood Stud Perpetual Trophy for Victoria.
