2014 Brisbane Royal Show

Mark Lilley led Melissa Sambrooks' well performed mare, 'Euston Dancestar' (Rathowen Parody/Memories) to win the class for Riding Pony Mare 13.2-14.2hh and go on to claim the Led Riding Pony Mare Championship.

Ashley Harris was out early this morning to claim the class for Riding Pony Mare 12.2-13.2hh with her own and Tyler Harris', 'LH Petite Prim' (Strinesdale Matador/Chippenham Prim).

Carrie Furey did the honours with the Furey Family's beautiful, 'Llangollen Christabelle' (Flowervale Top Gun/Llangollen Camelia) that took second place in the class for Welsh Mountain Pony Mare 3 Years and Over and went on to claim the WMP Mare Reserve Championship.

Anthony Mountney claimed the Welsh Mountain Pony Mare Championship with Dr Harry Cooper's, 'Arcadian Rumors' (Imperial Baledur/Creswell Tinkerbell) and went on to be sashed Supreme Champion Welsh Mountain Pony for the 2014 Brisbane Royal Show.

Up from Victoria for a bit of Brisbane sunshine, Darren Telford led Carmel Perkins', 'Willowcroft English Rose' (Oakvale Serenade/Willowcroft Persia) to take second place in the class for Riding Pony Mare 13.2-14.2hh and claim the Riding Pony Mare Reserve Championship.

Liz Stevenson did the honours with Bronwyn Stoner's eye catching stallion, 'Baringa Hallmark' (Janevelyn Madras/Baringa Amazing Grace) to take out the Riding Pony Show Hunter Championship.

Claudia Grieve is pictured with Georgia Goodchild's, 'Koora-Lyn Smith' (Koora-Lyn Tishka/Owendale Whoopi) that won the class for Riding Pony Show Hunter Stallion/Mare/Gelding N.E. 12.2hh and went on to claim the RP Show Hunter Reserve Championship.

Nicole Walker is pictured with her delightful, Best Connemara Exhibit, 'Glenormiston Fintra' (Abbeyleix Finbar/G. Rosslee) that was bred by the late Sue Clarke.

Allan Dillingham came, saw and conquered with his beautiful imported Riding Pony Stallion, 'Rotherwood Spring Parade' (Rotherwood Peter Pan/Rotherwood Spring Flower). The four year old arrived in Australian last September and was only shown in the UK as a Yearling. he claimed the Stallion Championship and went on to be declared Supreme Champion Led Riding Pony.

Three year old Isabella Streefkerk looks to be having a wonderful time at her first Royal Queensland Show. She is pictured during the class for Girl Rider 3-6 Year.

With some guidance from handsome Ken Uren from New Zealand, Amy Ryan rode well to place in the class for Girl Rider 3 and under 6 years.

Grace Radke rode well to win the well attended class for Girl Rider 3 and Under 6 Years.

Three year old Alexis Coulter looks delighted to be at her first ever Royal Queensland Show. And why not, a lot of people work very hard for a felt ribbon and with a stuffed toy thrown in for good measure, what's not to like? Victorian climate refugee, Ebonie Lee rode Sarah Young's , 'Bamborough Sabrina' to take second place in the class for Ridden Riding Pony Mare/Gelding N.E. 12hh.

Tova Bates did the honours with the Tremayne Stud and Susan Paine's, 'Pilinta Park Splender' (Poplars Farm Pluto/Green Valley Leroy) that won the class for Shetland Pony Gelding Two Years and Over.

Janis Young's, 'Dunthomas Dallis' (Koolongatha Thimble/Shamara Demi) was declared Champion Mare and Supreme Led Shetland. She is pictured with L-R Janis Young's daughter, Michelle Cubley, award presenter, Dr Vivian Edwards and judge, Elizabeth D'Hondt.

Bronte Dagg won the class for Girl Rider 10 and Under 12 Years and went on to claim the Junior Girl Rider Championship.

Grace Berry took second place in the class for Girl Rider 10 and Under 12 Years and went on to take out the Junior Girl Reserve Championship.

Well known and successful exhibitor, Nici Jamieson rode her ,'Anglewood Charisma' that measured up to win the class for Ridden Riding Pony 13.2-14.2hh and go on to take out the Reserve Champion Ridden Riding Pony award.

Mikayla Vankampen rode Paul Austin's very well performed hack, 'Chicago' to win the class for Girl Rider 12-15 Years and go on to take out the Senior Girl Rider Championship.

Madison McGill was second in the class for Girl Rider 12 and Under 15 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Senior Girl Rider.
