2014 Royal Melbourne Show

The first day of the 2014 Royal Melbourne Show was a big one for the Bellman and Horspole nomination, 'Thopreville Trendy'. The most successful Ridden Shetland of the modern era is pictured with Tahlia Young winning always tough Shetland Pony Turnout class for Riders 8-10 years.

Chris Braniff's charming, 'Tara Park Justa Joker' looks as if he has put his nose in a pot of white paint. Just the sort of thing a Shetland would do. Ridden by Nicole Touzel, Joker is pictured during the class for Novice Shetland N/O 10.2hh.

Deebee Ponies', 'Jenssel Park Bronson' ridden by Amelia Corallo took second place in the class for Novice Shetland N/O 10.2hh.

Daizi Plumb, as busy as always, rode Emma Pickstock's nomination, 'Lodge Park Stellar'to win the class Shetland N/O 10hh. A little later Daizi rode the Bellman and Horspole nomination, 'Thorpville Trendy' to win the Ridden Shetland 10-10.2hh and claim the Ridden Shetland Championship. She then went on to claim the Child's Pony Championship with her dad, Dale Plumb's beautiful, 'Calvin Park Tiny Dancer'.

Delta Wardle rode the Beardsley and Wardle nomination, 'Araylon Torana' to fifth place in the class for Novice Shetland N/O 10.2hh.

Alexandra Jones, daughter of well known event rider, Michelle Hasibar and veterinarian Brett Jones rode Melise Tuma-Webb's well performed , 'M-Jay Fortune' (Win D Fortitude/M-Jay Arizona) to win the class for Australian Stock Horse Gelding N.E. 15hh. They went on to claim the Ridden ASH Reserve Championship.

Karen Harrison from Willatook in Victoria won the class for Australian Stock Horse mare over 4 Years and Under 15hh with her, 'Ramblin Suzie' (Rambler KD Acres/Bobadil Brittany)

Michelle Gorton rode the Oakford/Reeve/Gorton nomination, the typey, 'M-Jay Forte' (Win D Fortitude/M-jay Arizona) to win the class for Ridden Australian Stock Horse Stallion.

Ashlee Carrigan Walsh from Camperdown had a great show with her, 'Kardinia Jackman' (Glenpark Pastoral Echo/Kardinia Jaymans Delight). He won the ASH Station/Utility Horse, the ASHLA class and with Stuart Robinson in the saddle wont eh class for Working Stock Horse Gelding and went on to claim the Alistair Irving Working Stock Horse Championship.

Jennifer Emanuel from Lardner in Victoria was delighted with her, 'Cannibal Creek William' (Beau Polo/Windra Gidgea) that won the class for Ridden Gelding Over 15hh and go on to claim the Australian Stock Horse Ridden Championship.

The great, 'Thorpeville Trendy' exhibited by Bellman and Horspole and ridden in the Child's class by Paris Graham won the class for Child's Shetland Pony N/O 10.2hh. Later in the day and with Daizi Plumb taking the ride, Trendy was declared Champion Ridden Shetland.

Frequent and successful pony exhibitor, Emma Richardson is pictured grooming the next generation to take over the reins. Emma is leading the well performed, 'Wendamar Blush' with daughter, Annabelle Richardson in the saddle. It was Annabelle's first Melbourne Show and the combination took fourth place in the class for Pony Turnout N.E 12hh Riders 4-6 Years.

Shelly McCormack's, lovely, 'Dalpura Pearl' ridden by Estelle Gore-Johnson and led by well known showing rider, Shelly McGuinness is pictured during eh strong class for Leading Rein Pony.

Dale Plumb did the leading and Poppi Plumb the riding of 'Thorwood Hello Kitty' that took second place in the Leading Rein Pony class.

Karen Shaw's nomination, 'Xanadu of Sefton' ridden by Charlie Thorne and with Kate Thorne doing the leading won the class for Leading Rein Pony on the first day of competition at the 2014 Royal Melbourne Show.

Fiona Henderson's, 'Jindalee Duette' (Wynwood Gunner/ Queenie) won the class for Working Australian Stock Horse Mare.

Montana Maud from East Bendigo is pictured aboard her, 'Ascot Samsara' during the class for Smartest On Parade Boy/Girl Under 12 Years.

Claudia McCormick rode her mother, Sarah McCormick's, beautiful, 'Leanda Hello Dolly' to fifth place in the class for Smartest On Parade Boy/Girl Under 12 Years.

Shae Latimer from Skye in Victoria rode her, 'Harrington Park Timeless Dreams' to take second place in the class for Smartest On Parade Boy/Girl for Boy/Girl Under 12 Years.

Blake Paulston rode his Yanco Agricultural High School nomination, 'Midland Pedro' (Haydon Dance/ Haydon Dancing Jewel) to second place in the class for Working Australian Stock Horse Gelding. He came in for and claimed the Working Australian Stock Horse Reserve Championship.

Kim Ide from Monarto in SA rode her 'Chalani Minerva' (Master Herbert/C. Aurora) to win the class for Australian Stock Horse mare Four Years and Over, Over 15hh.

Ebonie Lee always puts her best foot forward. She is pictured aboard her charming, 'Lykanarro Ladysmith' to took sixth place in a strong class for Show Hunter Pony 12.2hh and Under.

A fast growing up Emily Murray rode her own, 'Raleigh Picture Perfect' to take second place in the class for Child's Show Hunter Pony 12.2-14hh.

Remi Monaghan rode Kate Treneman-Duncan's well performed, 'Owendale Rembrandt' to fourth place in the class for Child's Show Hunter Pony 12.2-14hh.

Edwina Lumsden from Wallington rode her own ,'TT Debonair' to third place in the class for Child's Show Hunter Pony 12.2-14hh.

Kaitlin Labahn-Meyland rode her mother, Michelle Labahn's very well performed, 'Owendale Mr Pickwick' to win the class for Show Hunter Pony N.E. 12.2hh and go on to claim the Child's Show Hunter Pony Championship.

The Marriott, Edwards, Hayes and Kearns nomination, 'Cohen Park Sinatra' to win the class for Child's Show Hunter Pony 12.2-14hh and take out the Child's Show Hunter Pony Reserve Championship.

Well know and successful exhibitor, Linley Arnold-Wardle is pictured with her, 'Merivale Park Toy Soldier' ridden by daughter Keedie Wardle during their victory lap for the Pony Turnout N.E. 12hh Riders 4-6.

There is no doubt that Jessica Dertell enjoys riding and competing. With a smile from ear to ear she rode the Sienna Stud and Future Farms nomination, 'Thorpeville Lillianne' to win the class for Novice Shetland N/O 10.2hh.

Rebecca Gerber is pictured aboard her own and Jane Gerber's, 'Kristamoor Lodge Keiran' that took third place in the class for Novice Shetland N/O 10.2hh. A little later in the morning, Montana Maud rode the pony to second place in the class for Shetland Pony 10-10.2hh and went on to claim the ridden Shetland Pony Reserve Championship.
