2014 Royal Melbourne Show

Well known and successful competitor, Abby Clark from Drumborg in Victoria rode her , 'Drumeden Chorus Line' to second place in the class for Open Pony 12.2-13hh.

Levin Plumridge, one of the few boys in action in the hack classes at the 2014 Royal Melbourne Show rode Sally Plumridge's, 'Ariston Dream Song' to second place in the class for Novice Pony 12.2-13hh and fourth place in the Open 12.2-13hh.

Briony Payne was winning ribbons at Melbourne Show almost before she could walk and has continued unabated ever since. Briony rode the BC Equine and Ella O'Doherty nomination, 'Rosedale Royal Chatter' to win the class for Open Pony 12.2-13hh

Holly Dalgleish rode the Monrose Park and Clint Bilson nomination, 'DP Charming' to win the Novice 12-12.2hh Pony class and go on to be declared Best Novice Small Pony. Later that day he went on to take fifth place in the Open 12-12.2hh.

Vienna Smith rode Fiona McIntyre's 'Symphony's Minuet' to win the class for Novice Pont 12hh and Under first up this morning.

Sheree Pengelly rode her own and the Romsey Park nomination, 'Murraydale Park Calum' to win the class for Open Pony 11.2hh and Under.

Super successful NSW rider, Trinette Crawford flew in to Melbourne Royal for the day and certainly made the most of her opportunities. Trinette is pictured aboard, Sharon Gillespie's, 'Yartarla Park Louis Vuitton' that measured up to win the class for Open Pony 12-12.2hh and go on to claim the Small Pony Championship.

Brynie Lee rode her own, delightful, 'Newington Tinkerbell' to win the class for Open Pony 11.2-12hh.

Montana Maud rode Michelle Paynter, 'Windfield Landscape' to third place in the class for Novice Pony 12hh and Under and later took second place in the class for Open Pony 11.2-12hh.

Amy Bachmann from Ravenswood in Victoria rode her delightful, Heritage Park Chartreuse' to win the class for Rider 10-12 Years and go on to be declared Champion Junior Rider.

The Lumsden girls featured well in the Junior Riding classes this morning. Edwina Lumsden took second place in the class for Rider 10-12 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Junior Rider.

Mackenzie Mamouney from Marong in Victoria looks very pleased with her third place in the strong class for Rider 8-10 Years.

Kelly Young rode well this morning, but sadly missed out on the placing's in the class for Rider 8-10 Years.

Phoebe Sutton-Kouros from Somerville In Victoria always has a good show. Today she took second place in the class for Rider 8-10 Years.

Georgiana Walsh rode well to win the class for Rider 8-10 Years.

Six year old Mietta Lumsden just made the cut for the Rider 6 AU 8 Years and rode well to go on and take the blue ribbon.

Izabella McIntyre rode Blaine Perkins', 'Mirinda Matinee Idol' to win the class for the Novice Pony and take third place in the Open Pony 12.2-13hh.

It is hard to imagine that Bree and Amelia Petrie's, 'Bamborough Mickey J' is still a Royal Show Novice, such has been his success at non Royal hack shows. Today Bree rode the lovely pony to win the Novice 13-14hh and go on to be declared Best Novice Large Pony. They were also second in the class for Open Pony 13-13.2hh and went on to claim the Open Large Pony Reserve Championship.

Nicole Touzel rode Melanie Marin's charming, 'Pinjarrah Park Dream On' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony 12.2-14hh.

Shae Latimer from Skye in Victoria is pictured aboard her, 'Harrington Park Timeless Dreams' during the class for Novice Pony 12.2-13hh.

Katrina Kearns rode the Marriott, Edwards, Hayes and Kearns nomination, 'Cohen Park Sinatra' to take second place in the class for Show Hunter Pony 13.2-14hh and take out the Large Show Hunter Pony Reserve Championship.

Taylah Arnott rode Emily Murray's delightful, 'Raleigh Picture Perfect' to win the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 12.2-13hh.

Trinette Crawford, just down from Sydney for the day made the most of every opportunity. She is pictured aboard Belinda Sibley's, 'Neverland' that won the class for Show Hunter Pony 13.2-14hh and took out the Large Show Hunter Pony Championship.

Vienna Smith rode the McMahon and McCormick's home bred, 'Leanda Hanky Panky' to claim the Small Show Hunter Pony Reserve Championship.

Michelle Labahn's outstanding Small Show Hunter Pony, 'Owendale Mr Pickwick' won the class for Open SH Pony 12-12.2hh and went on to claim yet another Small Show Hunter Pony Championship with Kaitlin Labahn-Meyland in the saddle.

Popular showing exhibitor, Kathleen Mullan rode her own, 'Sarven Park Succeed N Excel' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony 12.2hh and Under and go on to be declared Best Novice Show Hunter Pony. Later they took second place in the class for Open Show Hunter Pony 12hh and Under.

Lauren Ellery rode the Goldsmith and Ellery nomination, 'Pemberly Dior' to win the class for Open Pony 13.2-14hh.

Adrianna Lombardi's, 'Newington Applause' took fourth place in the Novice Pony 13-14hh and fourth place in the class for Open Pony 13.3-14hh.

Lynda Hayes and Vicki Pisciotta's successful, 'Kolbeach Aristocrat' suffered from a Hitchcock like bird phobia and the resident Melbourne Show seagulls were out to do their worst. After tackling the birds in his workout, Aristocrat finished sixth in his Open 13.2-14hh class.

Talented rider, Daizi Plumb has become a very savvy competitor and today she rode her father Dale's beautiful, 'Calvin Park Tiny Dancer' to win the class for Open Pony 13-13.2hh and go on to claim yet another Large Pony Championship.
