Formerly from South Australia, but now resident in Queensland, Matt Afford rode his, 'Kaluna Salute' to take second place in the Part 3 Accumulator this morning.

No worries about this fence, as Billy Raymont concentrates on the next riding the attractive, 'Chironic Dominant Visage' by Copabella Visage, on their way to fifth place in the Part 3 Accumulator.

As Jamie Kermond is on his way to the World Cup Final in Lyon, France, Dave Cameron stepped aboard Kerrie and Jamie Winning's, 'Yandoo Oaks Constellation' for the Sydney Royal competition. They earned maximum points, but missed the placings on time in the Part 3 Accumulator.

Clint Beresford from the ACT is lining up a turn aboard his talented, 'Emmaville Jitterbug' that gave them the advantage for victory in the Part 3 Accumulator.

Colin Parkinson did the honours with his own and wife, Louise Parkinson's, lovely Three Year Old Led Australian Stock Horse Filly winner, 'Rosebrook Natasha' (Rosebrook Balou/Rosebrook Ngarie) that was declared Champion ASH Mare/Filly and Supreme Led Australian Stock Horse.

Stephan Bates led his own, 'Kirkby's Stud Elastic' (Kirkby's Stud Echo/Sheedy's Associate Lady) to win the class for Led Australian Stock Horse Mare Four Year and Over, Over 15hh.

Angie Crump is pictured with her winning Two Year Old and Under led Australian Stock Horse Filly, 'Karoola Park Elysium' (Bryjen Fort Talon/Rosebrook Shangrila) that went on to be declared Reserve Champion led ASH Mare/Filly.

Regular and successful Sydney competitor, Andrew Inglis is pictured riding Danielle Butcher's, 'Twins Quantum' on their way to fifth place in the Part 2 Table C.

It is good to see Jess Brown back in the ring aboard the beautiful, imported gelding, 'Casco'. The lovely horse sustained a slight injury at the Shepparton World Cup Show last November and they are pictured during their Part 2 Table C Round.

Teena Bridge had her hands full with her own and Joy Poole's typey Australian Stock Horse Stallion, 'J Star Desert Fox; (J Star Challenge/J Star Applause) that won the class for ASH Stallion Four Years and Over.

Linda Pattullo led the Willinga Park's, 'Otford Valley Solar' (Acres Destiny/Glen Lee Rivoli Silhouette) to win the class for Led Australian Stock Horse Three Year Old Colt and be declared Reserve Champion ASH Stallion/Colt.

Youth won the day in the Australian Stock Horse Ring, A three year old filly was declared Supreme Led and Alison Jones shepherded the Combaning Stock Horses' lovely, 'Springs Black Jack' (Grenadier Federation/Bryjen Fairly) to win the two Year Old Colt class and go on to claim the Led ASH Stallion/Colt Championship.

The NSW 'Mounties' are a popular feature of the show and today the beautifully presented troopers were undergoing close inspection with a full programme of classes from Turnouts to Best Horse. Sadly they were all conducted in the rain.

Lachlan Manuel makes a super jump aboard his mother, Lisa Manuel's super, imported mare, 'Congranda' on their way to third place in the Part 2 Table C class.

The Copabella Sporthorses' wonderful, imported stallion, 'Copabella Visage' makes sure he keeps everything well clear of this oxer during his Part 2 Table C round with Brooke Campbell aboard.

Maddie Watchirs rode Robert Watchirs' successful stallion, 'Watchirs Star (Lindsay/Shinook Chess) to take third place in the always hotly contested ASHLA class. The Australian Stock Horse and Lady Rider class was conducted in the undercover warm up arena due to the rain.

Lynne Wood rode her own, 'Yagonea Gem Tech' (Glen Lee Rivoli Ray Tech/ Willfull Jay Are) to take sixth place in the well contested ASHLA class.

Loretta Lawson claimed her second Sydney Royal ASHLA class and with it the Ian Armstrong Perpetual Trophy today riding Terry Blake's well performed, 'Coquon Holly' (Rosebrook Sabre/Coquon Copycat)

Robyn Anderson drove her own and Andrew James' nomination, 'Reigate Maximus' to second place in the class for Non Hackney Show Horse Turnout Over 14hh Driven in a Four Wheeled Vehicle. The well attended Harness classes, always a popular Sydney feature run almost the full 14 days of the show.

Abbey Presdee rode the Adams Family's, 'Smada Phoenix' (Ophir Reflex/Smada Caddy) to take seventh place in the strong ASHLA class on the first day of the 2014 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

The Harness classes at Sydney Royal would not be complete without regular exhibitor, Maureen Pengelly from Victoria. Maureen is pictured at the reins of her own, Kerry Buckleigh and Joanna Becker's, 'Cataraqui Dant-Y- LLew' that took out the class for Non Hackney Show Horse Turnout Over 14hh Driven in a Four Wheeled Vehicle.

As has been tradition for some years, the Australian Stock Horse Led classes opened the show. And what a quality, beautifully presented bunch they were. Annabell Sim is pictured with the Sim Family's winning Gelding Four Years and Over N.E. 15hh and Best Gelding, 'Doongara Black and Ready' (Soda Redford/Haydon Montilla).

Georgia Hope did the honours with the Allan and Hope Families', 'Pemberton Major Contender' (Kirkby's Major/Greentop Carissa) that won the class for Gelding Four Years and Over, Over 15hh.

Australian Stock Horse Board member, David Wilson led his own, Marg Findlay and the Glen Lee ASH Stud's nomination, 'Yagoneya Classique' (Glen Lee Mosses Mineral/Glen Lee Rivoli Technique) to win the class for Three Year Old ASH Gelding.

First out in the first jumping class of the 2014 Sydney Royal Easter Show, Clem Smith rode his imported, 'Quality Euro' to take third place in the Part 3 Accumulator.

Kerrie Barlow drove the Barlow Family's sensational, 'Riverlodge Vanity's Hero' to win the class for Non Hackney Pony N.E. 14hh.

Amanda Ragg drove the Ragg and Proctor Show Team's, 'Glenwood Look At Me' to fourth place in the class for Non Hackney Pony N.E. 14hh.

James Mooney rode his talented stallion, 'JB Evolution' to take fourth place in the 36 strong Part 3 Accumulator on the first day of jumping at the 2014 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Tom Sedger from Queensland got maximum points but missed the placings on time in the Part 3 Accumulator riding his talented and typey Thoroughbred, 'Getwotuwant'.
