Cristina Pinedo Sendag from Spain jumped a good eight penalty round aboard the Heraldik mare, 'Helena XII'. Of the 59 horses to complete the final jumping phase, 13 were mares, including two in the Gold Medal German team.

Australia's Shane Rose sadly lowered six fences aboard Jonnie Walker's 'Taurus'. Showjumping is not the horse's strong suit and it was costly today. They finished in 36th place.

Popular French Team Member, Jean Teulere jumped an eight penalty round aboard the Selle Francais gelding, 'Matelot Du Grand Val' by Eveil De la Cour. The were in 22nd place after the dressage and did not move a great deal to finish in 24th place.

To the great delight of the crowd, French Individual, Rudolphe Scherer rode the Selle Francais mare, 'Makara De Montiege' by Be Bop III to post one of the 13 clear jumping rounds. They moved from 82nd place after the dressage to a final standing of 20th.

Irelands Aoife Clark continued to give her ten year old Irish Sporthorse, 'Fenyas Elegance', a mare by Ricardo Z, a dashing ride. They lowered just one fence to finish the competition in 21st place. She was a member of the Irish Team that at sixth place just made the qualification for Rio in 2016.

Ingrid Klimke jumped the round of the event riding Madeleine  Winter-Schulze's super mare, 'FRH Escada JS' by Embassy 1. The ten year old was beautifully ridden and looks to be wasted as an eventer, but I am sure Ingrid doesn't think so. They finished the competition in 14th place and helped Germany claim the Eventing World Championship Gold Medal.

Elaine Pen, a member of the Dutch Bronze medal Team looked good on cross country day yesterday and looked good again today posting a clear round riding her  Dutch mare by Jazz, 'Vira'. They finished the tough competition in 13th place.

Young Dutch rider, Tim Lipps was a member of the delighted Dutch Bronze medal team riding the Thoroughbred gelding, 'Keyflow N.O.P' by Colonel Collins. They had to fences down today to finish in 18th place.

It looked clear for all money until the talented mare by Touchdown just breathed on the very last fence for the addition of four penalties. They finished the competition in 17th place.

Zara Phillips not long back from maternity leave jumped a gutsy clear round aboard her, 'High Kingdom', an Irish Sporthorse by Master Imp. Zara helped the British Team claim the Silver Medal and individually finished in 11th place.

British individual, Nicola Wilson did not have the best round aboard her Irish mare by Newmarket Venture, 'Annie Clover'. They finished the competition in 25th place.

Stuart Tinney again did a super job riding John and Jane Pittard's, Daley K gelding, 'Pluto Mio'. He was unlucky to lower two fences aboard the gelding who became quite excited entering the arena after British rider, Nicola Wilson who received a lot of applause. Stuart and Pluto moved from 25th place after the dressage to 12th final Individual place.

Boyd Martin's, 'Shamwari 4' was sent to the holding box this morning, however he certainly jumped well this afternoon for the addition of just four penalties for eighth place individually. The USA failed to finish with a team.

The crowd went crazy when young French team member, Maxime Livio jumped clear aboard, 'Qalao Des Mers', a Selle Francais gelding by Iolisco De Quinhon. The French team finished in fourth place and Maxime fifth individually.

New Zealand Heroine, Jonelle Price, produced the best run across country yesterday riding 'Classic Moet' by Classic. She impressed again today with a four penalty round to finish the competition in an impressive fourth place aboard the nine year old mare.

Michael Jung has had his mare, 'Fischerrocana FST' since it was five years old. The 2010 World Champion had to be content with the Silver medal after jumping a great clear round.

Sandra Auffarth has also had her Normandy bred, 'Opgun Louvo' since  he was five years old. The gelding by Shotgun II jumped a super scopey clear to claim the 2014 World Eventing Championship title with a total score of 52 penalties.

William Fox-Pitt had to jump clear to claim the World Championship. Sadly, the stallion, 'Chilli Morning' lowered one rail which saw William slip to the Bronze medal position. "I am disappointed I had a fence down, of course I am" said Fox-Pitt, " I am just pleased I did not have two down.
