Germany's Isabell Werth was a treat for the early risers on the second day of Grand Prix Dressage. The German Champion rode Madeleine Winter-Schulze's beautiful Belissimo M mare, 'Bella Rose 2' that produced the winning test so far for 81.529% and provisional first place The Germans have stormed to the lead in the Teams competition and with Helen Langehanenberg and Damon Hill to come it is fair to say they cannot be beaten.

The new Ariat stretch boot is on display in the Trade Village at the very end of the main avenue of "the village". Well worth making the effort to go and try one on, if you can catch a shuttle, The 20 minute plus walk from the main stadium to the Trade village is putting a lot of people off a shopping experience.

Steffen Peters and 'Legolas 92' were the best placed of the fourth placed US Team. Steffen earned 75.84 % or eighth place individually in the Grand Prix.

Mary Hanna competing at her fourth WEG was the anchor of the Australian team. She rode her beautiful ,'Sancette' with whom she has been training in Germany with Patrik Kittle to score 70.929% for 29th place. The good score means that Mary and Sancette will have a run in the Grand Prix Special tomorrow.

Charlotte Dujardin and the wonderful , 'Valegro' were back to top form and won the Grand Prix with a score of, 85.271%. Charlotte and Valegro's effort eased the British Team in to the Silver Team medal position ahead of the Netherlands..

Understandably, the crowd went wild for Charlotte and Valegro. Australian will get its chance to experience a bit of Charlotte magic, as teh Olympic and Europen Champion is headed for Equitana in Melbourne.

Australia's Susie Hoevenaars is one of the seven judges presiding over the Dressage competition at the 2014 FEI Alltech Normandy WEG.

The spectator shuttles from one venue to another are proving very scarce. People must remember that the shuttles will only pick up from under these signs. Today 100's of people waited over an hour to catch a shuttle outside the stadium during the lunch break,  to the trade villiage to give up in disgust as time ran out. Later we found out that the shuttles do not stop at bus stops only either side of the main stadium at these two signs.
