The German Champion rode Madeleine Winter-Schulze's beautiful Belissimo M mare, 'Bella Rose 2' that produced the winning test so far for 81.529% and provisional first place The Germans have stormed to the lead in the Teams competition and with Helen Langehanenberg and Damon Hill to come it is fair to say they cannot be beaten.

Spain's Morgan Barbancon steps it out with the former Anky van Grunsven ride, 'Painted Black' by Gribaldi out of a Ferro mare. They scored 75 143%, to hold provisional third place heading in to the day two lunch break.

Australian Team Member, Kristy Oatley is pictured aboard her massive and elegant Riccione stallion. 'Ronan 2' during the Grand Prix on the second day of competition. Sadly Ronan did not produce his best for a score of 63.771%.

Patrik Kittel who is married to Australian Team Member, Lyndal Oatley rode the impressive Solos Carex stallion, 'Watermill Scandic' to 15th place in the Grand Prix with 74.086% and helped the Swedish Team take sixth place.

The new Ariat stretch boot is on display in the Trade Village at the very end of the main avenue of "the village". Well worth making the effort to go and try one on, if you can catch a shuttle, The 20 minute plus walk from the main stadium to the Trade village is putting a lot of people off a shopping experience.

Laerico Casalecchi Filho representing Brazil finished the Reining Individual competition in equal 31st place riding, 'He's A Question QR'.

Guiseppe Prevosti representing Italy rode the colourful,, 'Boemil Twin Robotop' to equal tenth place in the Reining Individual Qualifier.

Canadian, Cody Sapergia finished the Individual qualifier in equal 31st place riding , 'Nu Chexomatic'.

Australian Team Member, Bill Norwood rode 'Quinberry' to finish the Individual Reining qualifier in equal 39th place with a score of 212.5. The Australian Team finished in fifth place from 16 Teams.

Steffen Peters and 'Legolas 92' were the best placed of the fourth placed US Team. Steffen earned 75.84 % or eighth place individually in the Grand Prix.

Mary Hanna competing at her fourth WEG was the anchor of the Australian team. She rode her beautiful ,'Sancette' with whom she has been training in Germany with Patrik Kittle to score 70.929% for 29th place. The good score means that Mary and Sancette will have a run in the Grand Prix Special tomorrow.

Australian Team Member, Mary Hanna is obviously delighted with her 'Sancette' that produced a good 70 plus Grand Prix to help Australian finish 10th from 24 Teams and qualify a Team for the Rio Olympics..

Danish rider, Anna Kasprzak is pictured aboard her lovely , 'Donnperignon' that produced a lovely test for 74.457% and eleventh place. The Danish Team finished in seventh place.

Charlotte Dujardin and the wonderful , 'Valegro' were back to top form and won the Grand Prix with a score of, 85.271%. Charlotte and Valegro's effort eased the British Team in to the Silver Team medal position ahead of the Netherlands..

Understandably, the crowd went wild for Charlotte and Valegro. Australian will get its chance to experience a bit of Charlotte magic, as teh Olympic and Europen Champion is headed for Equitana in Melbourne.

Swedish combination, Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfven and her beautiful, Don Auriello' demonstrate some lovely canter work during their Grand Prix test. They earned 76.186% for eighth place individually.

Four German girls raced away with the Team Gold medal today. L-R Kristina Sprehe, Helen Langenhanerberg, Isabell Werth and Fabienne Lutkemeier.

Australia's Susie Hoevenaars is one of the seven judges presiding over the Dressage competition at the 2014 FEI Alltech Normandy WEG.

The spectator shuttles from one venue to another are proving very scarce. People must remember that the shuttles will only pick up from under these signs. Today 100's of people waited over an hour to catch a shuttle outside the stadium during the lunch break, to the trade villiage to give up in disgust as time ran out. Later we found out that the shuttles do not stop at bus stops only either side of the main stadium at these two signs.
