2015 NCHA Australian Cutting Futurity

NCHA Highest money earner Todd Graham with earnings of $1,825,007, rode Peter Ryan's, MK Smooth Chic to score 141 in the first round of the Classic Challenge.

Victorian Corry Holden riding Lisa Hindmarsh's, Duckalicious scored 143 in the first round of the Classic Challenge.

There are a number of events at the "NCHA Futurity" event. However the Futurity class for 3 year olds at their first show is the feature. Mat Oakley riding The Allstar Syndicate's, Highway To Hell was first out in the Futurity Round 1 scoring 140.

Trent Smith rode Michael and Liz Bell's, Bellbird Drive to score 141 in the first round of the Futurity. 146 horses are competing for the $260,000 prize pool with $75,000 guaranteed to the winner plus trophies valued at $15,000.

Guy Morgan rode Erin Park Stud's, Erin Dual Smooth to score 135 in the first round of the Futurity.

Victorian, Fred Johnson rode Cuttabar Quarter Horses', Looks Lika Cat to score 143 in the first round of the Classic Challenge for five and six year olds.

James Hodgeman riding Jenny Shean's, Pepto Dun It scored 133 in the first round of the Futurity. 75 horses completed the first round of the Futurity today with the remaining half competing tomorrow, the second round is on Saturday with the final on Sunday 7th June.

Victorian, Troy Randell rode Susannah Robertson's, Lagoona Smart Mr Cat to score 141 in the first round of the Futurity.

Queenslander, Mat Oakley riding Wes Hall's, This Cats A Spin scored 142 in the first round of the Futurity. Over 6000 cows are trucked in and out of the venue over the two weeks of the championships.

Queenslander Casey Tones rode Spinning Oak for Cutting Edge Quarter Horses to score 141.5 in the first round of the Classic Challenge. Today competitors are just trying to get a good score (normally above 140) on the board and then they hopefully can add another good score in the second round so they move through to the final held on the 5th of June.

Denise MacCallum-Campey rode Tony and Kylie O'Loughlin's, Blue Boons My Gem to score 142 in the first round of the Futurity.

Andrew Currie from Central Queensland, rode Peakvale Performance Horses', Flo Like a Cat to score 127 in the first round of the Futurity.

Les Buckingham from Far North Queensland had a busy day with a number of rides. Here Les is riding Darryl Adkins', Time and Time Again in the first round of the Futurity.

Corey Holden riding Lindsay Dickins', Spin N Chisum scored 131 in the first round of the Futurity.

Jamie Secombe riding R and R Bradley's, Serene Destiny scored 144 in the first round of the Futurity.

Phil Dawson rode Mark and Joanne Smith's, Cat With A Tude (IMP) to post the impressive score of 146 in the first Go Round of the Classic Challenge.

Sidney Myer rode Yulgilbar Q.H. Stud's, Yulgilbar Crystalandsweet to score 137 in the first round of the Classic Challenge. Today is the first day of the 12 days of competition at the NCHA 2015 Futurity

Trent Smith rode Paul and Katrina Poole's, Heza Metallic Cat but unfortunately lost their cow and their Open Futurity is over. Loosing a cow on a 3 year old at its first show is something easily done.

Former Futurity winner, Rob Hodgman rode the Hodgman and Dax nomination, Olive Hoover to score 146 in the first round of the Futurity; a good start to their 2015 campaign.

Cutting legend, Graham Amos riding Stefan Wielebinski's, Fay Rey scored 144 in the first round of the Futurity.

Jason Leitch riding Kempsey Q. H. Stud's, One Sweet Cherry scored 145.5 in the first round of the Classic Challenge.

There are only two trainers with NCHA earnings over a million dollars; Aaron Wheatley from Victoria is one of them. Aaron may add to that total after scoring 146 aboard Tri Star QHS', Cutterbar Designer Cat in the first round of the Futurity.

Troy Randell rode Brian Tink's, Hank Man Henry to score 140 in the first round of the Futurity.

Richard Cowdey from New Zealand rode his own Duroak to score 133 in the first round of the Futurity.

Heath Sinclair from Queensland rode Crystal Park Stud's, EB's Eucalypt to score 145 in the first round of the Classic Challenge.

Richard Webb rode Ivan and Amanda Ross', Two Timin Playboy to score 141.5 in the first round of the Classic Challenge.
