2015 Sydney CDI

At the Sydney CDI this year, a number of horses have been stepped up a notch in both the Prix St Georges and the Grand Prix. We have been watching Rodney ride Andrea Beatty's , 'SPH Sonata Hit' (Royal Hit/PSI Oktavia) for a number of years and today they took fifth place in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI test with 67.23%.

NSW rider, Katrina Smith earned 61.76% aboard her Jive Magic gelding, 'Just Dance' in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI.

Abbie O'Brien rode her, 'Rajah's Rave' by Regardez Moi out of a Jive Magic mare and bred by Heath and Rozzie Ryan to score 64.42% for 13th place in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI.

Lisa Martin rode her impressive and imported mare, 'First Famous' (Fidertanz/Rosenrot) to take second place with 69.23% in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI.

Melinda Hart rode her imported Rubinstein mare out of a Weltmeyer mare, 'Richmond H' in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI on the first day of three at the 2015 Sydney CDI.

Well known national and international dressage rider, trainer and coach, Matthew Dowsley rode Diane Jenkyn's 'Adloo Richard' (Royal Hit/Belcam Aarcadia) to fourth place in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI with 67.73%.

NSW rider, Kate Taylor-Wheat had a super few years in young horse classes with her, 'World Star' (World Magic/Galia) and it looks as if she means to continue in the vein. They took third place in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI with 67.94%.

International dressage rider, trainer and popular coach, Brett Parbery had a great day aboard Susie Duddy's, 'DP Weltmieser' (Weltmeyer/Catherston Debutante imp) to win the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand prix CDI3* with 69%.

Susan Paix formerly from South Australia and now coming to the Sydney CDI from Queensland was a subject with her WB/TB , 'Sheer Etiquette' of a Horse Deals feature about 12 months ago. The home produced horse is pictured in the Shadow Trailers Grand Prix CDI 3*. They finished with 63.48% and just out of the money.

Judy Dierks has had a great deal of success with Vicki Newham's imported Diamond Hit gelding 'Diamond Star' in Young Horse classes. Now graduated to the Grand Prix competition, Today Diamond Star took third place in the Shadow Trailers Grand Prix CDI 3* with 68.70%.

Mary Hanna has been dominant recently with her imported Jazz gelding, 'Umbro'. Today the talented horse proved that he is only human and had to settle for second place in the Shadow Trailers Grand Prix CDI 3* with 68.94%. Rachael Downs is back at the top of the line in the indoor arena at Horsley Park. On this occasion riding John Potter's imported Sir Donnerhall gelding, 'Silbermond' that won the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI with 72.60%.

A busy Brett Parbery rode Glen Fryer's imported Florestan gelding, 'Longvue Florencio' to 14th place in the strong Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI with 64.13%.

Successful in the show ring and now Phillip Bobic demonstrates that he is more than just pretty. Phil rode Jemma Heran's beautiful, imported Gracieux gelding, 'Go Dutch III' to score 63.47% in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI. It was certainly a promising performance and maybe the beginning of a new direction for Phil.

Revelwood Stud's co principle, David Shoobridge rode the stud's 00 Seven gelding, 'Agent De Jeu' to eighth place in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI with 65.94%.

Mark Arthur rode his delightful, 'Show Master' (Show Star/Hauptstutbuch First Love) in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI for 63.15%.

Well known NSW dressage rider, Christine Crawford is pictured aboard her own Jazz gelding, 'Jazz Song' during the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI on the first day of the 2015 Sydney CDI.

Fiona McNaught-Selby came up to the Sydney CDI from home base at Boneo Park in Victoria and is pictured aboard her imported Dionysos mare, 'Tacita' that took 15th place in the Grand Prix with 65.42%. Twenty five horses started in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand prix CDI 3*.

New Zealand visitor, Penny Castle rode her 'Magnus Spero' by imported to Australia, APH Lubeck to 13th place in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand Prix CDI 3* with 66.18%.

Promising young dressage rider, Jayden Brown from Queensland rode his Furst Piccolo gelding, 'Furst Friedrich' to take seventh place in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand Prix CDI 3* with 67.76%.

Lesley-Anne Taylor rode her wonderful, imported Abanos gelding, 'Amicelli Gold' to ninth place in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand Prix CDI 3* with 67.44%.

Caroline Wagner rode her typey and imported Jazz gelding, 'Tango V' to earn 64.36% in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand Prix CDI 3*.

Maree Tomkinson and Lyn Sultana's, Diamond Hit mare 'Diamantina ' looks to be levitating. The beautiful and talented mare produced a good test today but not her best and had to settle for 67.38%. The five judges could not agree on Maree's performance with placings from 1st to 13th, finishing in 10th place.

Enjoying his second bite at a dressage competition career, Dirk Dijkstra rode AEA Dressage and David Burns' imported Metall stallion, 'AEA Metallic' to eighth place in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand Prix CDI 3* with 67.54%.

Georgia Haythorpe from Victoria rode her Oldenberg mare, 'Letizia' (Liebeszauber/ Lavinia) to 12th pace in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI with 64.92%.

Popular and successful dressage and sometimes show rider, Robbie Soster rode her, 'Robali Razzamatazz' by Rotspon to earn 66.18% and 14th place in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand Prix CDI 3*.

Young South Australian rider and trainer, John Thompson is really turning heads with his, 'Bates Antonello'. . John purchased the talented Anamour gelding from New Zealand international rider Louisa Hill and has been producing great performances ever since. They took eleventh place in the Shadow Trailers Australia Grand Prix CDI 3* today with 67.16%.

James Collin is pictured aboard his own and Tempe Lees', 'Southerly' (Wyndamere/Shakedown Lass) during the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI.

Well known Dressage rider and trainer, Rochelle King Andrews rode her Jive Magic gelding, 'Challenger Jacaranda' to score 62.23% in the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI on the first day of three dressage filled days at the 2015 Sydney.

Queensland rider, Nicole Tough looks to be having an enjoyable time aboard her, 'Furst Time' (Furst Heinrich/Miss Moonshine) during the Jilli Cobcroft Prix St Georges CDI. They took 16th place with 63.52%.
