Popular dressage rider Sally Kirkwood from Western Queensland had some unusual issues with her talented, 'Bloomfield Furstinus' by Furst Love. The horse was not used to puddles coming from a drought area and the rain overnight caused some anxiety for both Sally and the horse. However, after a bit of puddle training they produced some good work in the Wagners Saddlery Elementary Championship.

Sue-Ellen challenged international dressage riders, Heath Ryan and Brett Parbery to a ride off with Heath and Brett wearing glasses that restricted their vision. Sue-Ellen gave an impressive display which included some impressive tempi changes. Heath and Brett were literally left in the dark.

Heath Ryan has every good reason to look happy, as he has claimed yet another National Grand Prix title, this year riding 'Utopian Cardinal' that is by his former and multiple Championship ride Regardez Moi. Heath and Utopian Cardinal  were second in the Grand Prix CDI-W yesterday and second tonight in the Willinga Park Grand Prix Freestyle with 70.50%.

Yesterday 18 year old Mary Warren sat an HSC maths exam and tonight she rode her Regardez Moi stallion, 'Mindarah Park Ramadan' to win the Willinga Park CDI Grand Prix Freestyle with 71.00%. It was wonderful to see a fresh new face at the top of  Australian dressage.
