The horse was not used to puddles coming from a drought area and the rain overnight caused some anxiety for both Sally and the horse. However, after a bit of puddle training they produced some good work in the Wagners Saddlery Elementary Championship.

Always good to watch, Daniella Dierks rode her imported stallion, 'Solo Feliz' to win the Agnes Banks Equine Clinic Intermediate 1 Freestyle with 70.58%.

The one, two, three in the Agnes Banks Equine Clinic Intermediate 1 Freestyle represented the future of Australian dressage. The top three places were taken by talented young riders with a bright future. Elliott Patterson is pictured riding Ela Weight's imported Breitling W mare, 'Boronia HG' that took second place with 69.29%.

A delighted Annie Simmons from Queensland is pictured with her award for winning the IRT FEI CDI-Y Individual test riding her, 'Florett' with a score of 69.71%.

Sharon Potter from NSW is pictured aboard her 2016 Reserve Advanced Champion, 'Bradgate Park Delilah' by De Niro that won the Prydes Easifeed Advanced Freestyle with 71.87%.

Caitlin Radford from Tasmania rode her 'XL Overtime' to win the Para Equestrian Grade 1V Freestyle with 67.83%.

Talented young Victorian rider, Rebecca Woff rode her Jazz gelding, 'Jazzari' to take fourth place in the McKinnon Sport Horses and Robali Stud Medium Tour Freestyle.

Always a good sport, Brett Parbery got a feeling for riding with very little sight.

Well known and successful blind rider, Sue-Ellen Lovett is pictured aboard her, 'Desiderata' during the Dressage in the Dark Challenge. Sue-Ellen challenged international dressage riders, Heath Ryan and Brett Parbery to a ride off with Heath and Brett wearing glasses that restricted their vision. Sue-Ellen gave an impressive display which included some impressive tempi changes. Heath and Brett were literally left in the dark.

Robbie McKinnon rode her delightful Rotspon gelding, 'Robali Razzamatazz' to produce an entertaining test for third place in the Willinga Park CDI-W Grand Prix Freestyle with 70.47%.

Heath Ryan has every good reason to look happy, as he has claimed yet another National Grand Prix title, this year riding 'Utopian Cardinal' that is by his former and multiple Championship ride Regardez Moi. Heath and Utopian Cardinal were second in the Grand Prix CDI-W yesterday and second tonight in the Willinga Park Grand Prix Freestyle with 70.50%.

Yesterday 18 year old Mary Warren sat an HSC maths exam and tonight she rode her Regardez Moi stallion, 'Mindarah Park Ramadan' to win the Willinga Park CDI Grand Prix Freestyle with 71.00%. It was wonderful to see a fresh new face at the top of Australian dressage.
