2017 Sydney Royal Easter Show

Jessie O'Connell rode her wonderful, 'Cassis Z Ten Halven' to jump clear and four to take third place in the Young Rider Grand prix today.

The jumping removed to the Schmidt Arena remained there for the show. The smaller arena proved popular with the spectators who could sit close to the action. Abby West is pictured during the Amateur Rider class this morning with her, 'Copabella Vermont'.

There is no stopping Jess Stalling and this morning she rode Kate Kyros and Chris Lawrie's nomination, 'Kolbeach Holly's Diamond' to win the class for Open Heavyweight Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Ken Uren rode Toni Ambrose's well performed, 'Uhavta Intune N Intime' to take second place in the class for Open Heavyweight Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Elyse Douglas rode her very well performed, 'AP Widardry' to take third place in the class for Open Heavyweight Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Versatile equestrienne, Victoria Fricker rode her, 'Daisy Patch Toy Story' to win the class for Open Heavyweight Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Adam Oliver rode the GC Equestrian and Barbara Barr nomination, 'Toleia Park Night Devine' to take fourth place in the class for Open Heavyweight Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Alanna Richards rode her impressive and successful, 'France ' to take second place in the class for Open Show Hunter Over 16.2hh. Later in the day "France" won the Lady's Hunter.

Briony Randle rode the Burns, Banks and B & C Equine nomination, the very well performed, 'Wesswoods Magic Caste' to win the class for Lady's Galloway.

Paul Austin is pictured aboard his super impressive nomination, 'Equest Liberate' by Shiraz Black out of a Valuta mare that took fourth place in the class for Open Show Hunter Over 16.2hh.

Georgie Kellock rode her Novice winner, 'Belcam Coralline' to take sixth place in the class for Open Show Hunter Over 16.2hh.

Well known Victorian showing enthuseiast, Fiona McIntyre is pictured aboard her, 'Genre' during the final judging of the class for Open Show Hunter 15-15.2hh.

Alyssa Brown's, 'Pemberton Brown Busker' took third place in the class for Open Show Hunter 15-15.2hh.

Georgia Grenwell from Oaklands in Victoria rode her, 'Rotsdom' by Rotspon to win the class for Open Show Hunter 15-15.2hh.

Successful trainer, Stuart Robinson led the O'Hagen, Robinson and Suburban Lodge nomination, 'Yurrugar Supermodel' (Willowcroft First Glance/Langtree Swallow) to take out the Mare/Filly Championship and claim the Supreme Led Australian Saddle Pony award.

Phoebe Wilkinson from Terrey Hills in NSW rode her Best Novice Show Hunter Hack, 'Greenoaks Munich' to win the class for Open Show Hunter 15.2-16hh. The Man About Town gelding went on to claim the 2017 Sydney Royal Show Hunter Hack Championship.

Jeremy Roberts did the honours with his own home bred, 'Westmore Spring Parade' (Rotherwood Spring Parade/Gentry Park Felicity) to claim the Australian Saddle Pony Stallion/Colt Championship.

Danielle Beattie led Hunter Taylor's, 'EBL One Night In Paris' to win the class for Arabian Derivative Mare/Filly Three Years and Over, Over 15hh.

Elle Mangan rode her own and Mardi Mangan's, 'Eclipse' to win the class for Open Show Hunter 16-16.2hh.

Lindsey Blanch has had a successful few weeks and today rode her, 'Dicavalli Royal Gustav' to take second place in the class for Open Show Hunter 16-16.2hh.

Amelia Douglas from Moss Vale in NSW rode her, 'NZ Fireball' to jump one of just two double clears to take second place in the young Rider Grand Prix conducted in the Schmidt Arena this afternoon.

Madeline Sinderberry from Condobolin in NSW rode her wonderful, 'Fernhill Zinzan' to jump a super and quick double clear to win the Young Rider Grand Prix this afternoon.

Sarah Young's, 'Kamilaroi Enchantment' (Kirreway Windsong/mats Magic of Astral) was declared Reserve Champion Australian Saddle Pony Mare/Filly earlier in the day and this afternoon Mark Lilley led the pony to claim the Mare/Filly Championship and Supreme Arabian Derivative award.

Greg Sheppard did the honours with Rosemary McCullough's, 'Romac Luciano' (Harmony Hill Anakin/Romac Lucienne) to claim the Arabian Derivative Stallion/Colt Championship

Annelisa Blanch rode Carrie Furey's, delightful , 'Llangollen Christobelle' to take second place in the Leading Rein Pony class.

For the third year in a row, Karen Shaw's, 'Xanadu of Sefton' this year ridden by Chase Jackson with Simon Durante on the end of the line claimed the Leading Rein Pony class.

Greg Mickan is having a great show and amongst his victories this morning, he rode the Romsey park and Christine Frost nomination, 'Elmdale Park Presidential' to win the class for Open Show Hunter Over 16.2hh.

Tia Richardson rode her, 'Peralz' to win the class for Child's Show Hunter Hack and this afternoon took out the Show Hunter Hack Reserve Championship.
