Scientist, event rider, commentator and Champion Rider, Chris Smith probably began his eventing career at Wandin and would have competed in a few Shetland steeplechases in his youth as well. Chris is pictured aboard his Thoroughbred, 'Washington' that is making a great jump over the table on the CIC Two Star course. A little later in the day Chris kept the crowd entertained with his outstanding commentary for the Shetland Steeplechase.

Well known and successful Four Star Eventing rider, Katja Weimann form Dewhurst in Victoria clears the Wagon on her way to second place in the CIC Three Star competition riding her home bred , 'BP Cosmopolitan'

Tesse Cook and her, 'Heatherton Park Alfonz' look to be leaving the hotel in quite a hurry. It's not that she has not paid the bar tab, the structure is an elaborate CCI Three Star fence. They took third place in the Australian One Day Eventing Championships on a beautiful Sunday in the Yarra Valley at Wandin Park.

International Event Rider, Murray Lamperd rode his talented Warmblood, 'Don Skipcello' to claim the CIC Three Star and with it the Australian One Day Eventing Championships. It is not the first time Murray has claimed this title at Wandin Park.

Well known and successful Victorian Eventing rider, Nina Clarke looks to be enjoying her ride on her super Thoroughbred, 'LP Boudin' on their way to seventh place in the CIC Three Star competition.

It was the 35th running of the hugely popular Grand National Shetland Steeplechase at Wandin Park. A light but tall, Tahlia Schlittler rode 'Elvis' in to second place.

Amelia Coad and Pepperdene Ponm Pop won the EA 95 Interschool class.
