Australian Youth Dressage Championships, Sydney

Martha Cobold rode her well performed Royal show hack, SLM Mastermind to finish mid field in the Novice Championship.

Paris Kellner rode her well turned out pony, Greenwood Polly Anna to sixth place in the Novice Pony 2.3.

Gabrielle Jarrett from Queensland rode Jalilah to eighth place in the Novice Pony 2.2. Gabrielle was also a member of the winning Queensland Pony State team.

Alara Cartwright was riding Baringa Great Expectations in only her second official dressage test and did a great job to place fifth. Her experienced pony has come back into competition after a six months injury lay off after breaking his jaw.

Talented Marcus Oldham Scholarship winner, Grace Kay rode Karingal Jamirquai to third place in the FEI Intermediate I.

Amy Reilly has had a great show in the Small Tour of the Championships. Amy rode her Danish Warmblood Michar to win the Prix St Georges yesterday and today won the FEI Intermediate with 68.4%

The well performed Edwina Hutton-Potts rode her successful Heathmont Echo to second place in the FEI Intermediate I with a score of 67.58%.

Claudia Hobson rode Romulas R to third place in the FEI Junior Preliminary Test. The FEI has introduced a number of tests to help riders move into the big time FEI tests.

Isabella Tyson rode Glendon Brae Glynn to sixth place the FEI Pony Individual test.

Indiana Anderson from Queensland rode the delightful Mister Crescendo to win both the FEI Pony Team and Individual Test with a score of 67.05% and 69.75%. Indiana has done a great job training her first pony which she was given at 6 years old.

Nicola Bown from Queensland rode Memphis Cloud to second place in the FEI Pony Test. Nicola was also a member of the wining Queensland Pony State Team.

India Shead rode Allengreen Medallist to fifth place in the FEI Pony Individual Test.

Annie Simmons from Queensland has had a great show riding her imported mare, Florett. This combination won the FEI Young Rider Team test yesterday by 7% with a score of 69.2% and today won the FEI Young Rider Individual test.

Charlotte Waterman rode the well performed Northern Xanthus III to second place in the FEI Young Rider Individual test.

Shelley Kleven rode Amaranda Moet to fourth place in the Novice Pony 2.2. A good field of 20 qualified ponies contested the Novice Pony Championship.

Sydney Evans rode her Welsh/Riding Pony, Dara Park Tequila Sunrise to win both the Medium 4.2 and 4.3 outpacing many of the more fancied Warmbloods. Sydney has trained her pony since he was three years old.

Stephanie Cormack rode Jaybee Allstar to fourth place in the Medium 4.2.

Ella Barney and Riverwood Paris took equal second place in the Medium 4.2.

Sarah Farraway riding MW Rotsong took third place in the Medium 4.3 and 6th in the 4.2. Twenty one horses and ponies contested the Medium Championship.

Elloise Devlin from Queensland rode Brimstone Florente to seventh place in the Medium 4.2.

Tess Gunn riding Reflection R took fourth place in the Medium 4.3.

Georgia Glasson rode Fidarzi to finish mid field in the Medium Championship. This is still a good effort at this event as the standard and professionalism of the young riders is very high.

Jessica Bergantin rode BC Romanov to fifth place in the Novice 2.3. The standard of all the classes has been very high but the full field of Novice horses was outstanding for young riders.

Krystal Taylor riding Colonial Galaxy Spectacular enjoyed a perfect winter's day during their Novice 2.3 test.

Tia Gotterson rode her promising warmblood, Dyrring Park Cristiano to fourth place in the Novice 2.2 with a score of 69.64%.

Promising young rider, Angus Fripp rode Foxwood Remy to win the Novice 2.2 with a score of 70.57%. Angus was also a member of the NSW winning A State Team.

Chloe Hayden rode Chapelhouse Cougar to fourth place in the Novice 2.3 scoring 68.36% and sixth in the 2.2 with 67.8%.

Isabella Arabejo from Queensland rode Four Winds Funky Chick in the Novice 2.2. Four Winds Funky Chick was formally owned and successfully evented by South Australian rider Kerrie Bowman.

Brittinee Smith rode Revelwood Queens Country to third place in the Novice 2.3 with 69.13% and sixth place in the 2.2 with 68%.

Emma Cox and Isle of Havana finished mid field in the Novice 2.2.
