There was literally something for everyone at the Snowy Mountains Showjumping Festival hosted by The Monaro Equestrian Association at the Pershier Property, Station at Jindabyne from the 7th -11th January. Tanya Harden and 'Teddy' are pictured competing in the Crossrail/Perfect Time class in Ring Four on Friday 10th January..

Fifteen year old Jamie Priestley had another successful day in the ring. Jamie is pictured riding, 'KS Optimus' to victory in the second round of the Young Rider Championships. She also won Round 1 and is sitting at the top of the list for the Final tomorrow. Jamie also rode TP Classic Act' to second place in the Junior Championship class as well.

Michael Cross rode his, 'Little Bear' to fourth place in the second Young Rider Championship qualifier. There were only two clear rounds in the Young rider class and the placings were decided on the time of those on four penalties in the first round.

Eventer, Steph Davies demonstrated that she can mix it with the showjumpers. Riding her, 'Saddle up Valentine' she jumped one of just two clear rounds in the second round of the Young Rider Championship to take second place.

Tom McDermott took first,, second and third place in the second round of the Shooting Stars Championship and is pictured aboard the winner Kerry Valley Daktari.

Evergreen Krissy Harris who was selected for the 1998 WEG Australian Team is pictured aboard her talented, 'The Frosty' during the second round of the Shooting Stars (Futurity) Championship.

Emily Longhurst rode her talented, 'Rhapsody In Blue' by Mr Blue out of a Daley K mare and bred by Dennis Crane, to jump two super rounds and take fourth place in the second round of the Shooting Stars Championship.

Jamie Grant is pictured making a wonderful jump aboard his super, 'Cintaria' by Chin Chin out of Oaks Vedette. They took eighth place in the second round of the Shooting Stars Championship.

Tom McDermott certainly deserves two photos today, especially riding the Tripp family's exquisite, 'Fernhill Zin Zan' that is by CP Ulixes out of CP Argentina. Not a big horse, but as they say, "it is not the size of the horse in the jump" etc. Zin Zan took second place in the second round of the Shooting Stars Championship..

Alanah Aldous and her, 'Bulldoza' made the jump off of the 80-85cm Junior AM7 in Ring 3.

Rachel Alchin and 'Keats' are pictured during the 80-85cm Junior AM7 class in Ring 3 this morning. There was a class for everyone over the course of the Snowy Mountains Showjumping Festival with many of the classes with over 100 entries.
