Off the Track National Show Horse Championship

One of the highlights of the SHCV Saturday evening programme were the innovative Fashions Off The Track classes. We dress the horses up, so why not the handlers who came, some with a little help in their race wear best. Catherine Shelley was beautifully matched with her lovely 'Pinky' and claimed the Fashionistas (over 40) Championship.

"It takes two". Briony (Payne) Randle usually needs no help at all to control a horse, but concern for her elegant Melbourne Cup outfit had Jeremy Roberts assist with the presentation of the beautiful, 'Entourage' in the Fashions Off The Field Fillies class.

Well known showing personality, Fiona McIntyre gave her beautiful and successful racehorse, 'Sirmione' a racing look. As a racehorse, Sirmione won over $1,800,000 in prize money. They were one of the elegant combinations in the Fashionistas Off The Track class.

They sure look different in riding clothes. A beautifully dressed, Georgie Kellock was one of the lovely Fillies Off The Track contenders.

A beautifully and elegantly dressed, Phillipa Mitchell, pictured with, 'The Godfather' took out the Fillies Off The Track Championship and was declared Supreme entry in the Fashions Off The Track classes.

Fashion bloger and fashion judge on the night, Latoya Asher enjoyed the evening and applauds all the fashionable entries in these entertaining classes.

Clint Bilson complete with binoculars and button hole looks ready for the races and he certainly had the horse to take in Hayley Sheehan's beautiful Octagonal gelding, 'Optimal'. Clint was declared Champion in the Masters and Gentlemen Fashions Off The Track class.

The Cameron family's super and successful, 'Otway View Xena' ridden by Zara Smith took out the Daniel Park Shetland Stud SHCV All States Showdown Shetland Pony of the Year title that was conducted as an entertaining support class for the feature OTT class on Saturday evening.

The Godolphin OTT National Final was conducted on Saturday evening. Three judges presided over the class with last week's Adelaide CCI 2* winner, Amanda Ross, the riding judge. She is pictured aboard Western Australian, Samantha Leigh's eight year old Seignorial mare, 'Asteroid'.

South Australian, Lesley Burrows and 'Dark Secrets' trot past the end of the arena that was curtained off and adorned with racing sinage.

Successful Queensland rider and trainer, Adam Oliver produced the most sophisticated presentation with his 'Supreme'. The eight year old Domesday gelding executed some good flying changes and showed a range of pace in the trot. He went on to be declared 2015 Runner Up National Champion Off The Track horse.
