Not to worry as Shane assumed first place with his Vivant gelding, 'Virgil' that with the addition of just 5.6 time penalties and the best run of the day moved from fourth to first place with a post cross country score of 46.90.

They jumped clear with the addition of just 2.8 time penalties and hold third place with 50.10 going in to the final jumping phase.
