Alexa Ward from Coldstream in Victoria rode through the mist this morning aboard her beautiful, mare, 'OEH Eloquence' to take second place in the Ida Buring Rinegolde Turnout class for Lady Riders.

On a wet morning, Rose McEvoy rode Sue Thompson's, well performed Concerto to take out the Ida Buring Rinegolde Perpetual Trophy for Mount, Lady Rider and Equipment

Clint Bilson rode his lovely, 'Sharinga Spellbound' to take fifth place in the Crane Trophy for Mares 15-16hh Showing A Percentage of Thoroughbred Qualities.

Charlotte Allison-Bruce rode Belinda Scanlon and Bridget Sell's successful nomination, 'Alkyra Elegance' in the Crane Trophy for Mares 15-16hh Showing A Percentage of Thoroughbred Qualities.

Margot Haynes rode Julie and Graham Crisp's, 'Kolbeach Starlight' to take second place in the class for Open Pony 13.2-14hh.

Briony Payne rode Belinda Dicker's, 'Tevita' to take out the F L Crane Perpetual Trophy for mare or filly hack 15hh-16hh showing a percentage of Thoroughbred qualities and in the opinion of the judge, being suitable for breeding of Hacks. The class was judged by hack judge Helen Heagney and Thoroughbred judge, Tara Madgwick.

Vicki Kearney rode her own and Jan Lyons', 'KG Goodness Gracious' to win the class for Open Pony 13.2-14hh.

Indya Povey rode her typey, 'Lyndam Park Jimmy Choo' to take fourth place in the Col, AV Pope class for Best Hack Over 15hh Showing Thoroughbred Qualities.

Darryl Hayes rode Jo Maunder's, 'Kakadu' to take out the Col A V Pope Cup for the best hack over 15hh which in the option of the judge shows Thoroughbred qualities. Not only is "Kakadu" a beautiful Thoroughbred he was also a successful race horse.

Heidi Pickstock rode Dale Plumb's beautiful, 'Amazing', a former multiple winner, to take second place in the Col AV Pope Cup for Horse Showing Thoroughbred Qualities.

Linda Brenzi made quite an impression with her typey, 'Lyndam Park Light The Skyes' by Stormy's Son during their workout in the Col. AV Pope Cup For Horses Showing Thoroughbred Qualities.

Sixty-three ponies lined up for the Large Child's Pony class which was won by Daizi Plumb riding, 'Calvin Park Tiny Dancer'.

Mark Kiddle rode Malcolm McRae's, 'Rogue Trader' by Regardez Moi to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Over 16.2hh.

Well known Victorian showing exhibitor, Jacqui Librio rode her 'Dicavalli Duchess' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter 16-16.2hh and go on to take out the Best Novice Show Hunter Hack award.

Alyana Levin's, 'Axon Magic' won the class for Novice Show Hunter 15.2-16hh during an afternoon of good hunting weather.

Busy and successful NSW rider, Kristen Strath rode Allison Burrell's 'Superstitious' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Hack 15-15.2hh.

The rain did not deter a good, Good Friday show crowd.

It looks like fun, but don't try it at home. Fifteen year old Shelby Pearson from Alberta, Canada took out the Australian Trick Riding Championships in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd today. The Championships were conducted by talented horseman, Heath Harris and his wife, Krissy. The Championships were sponsored by their Hawksbury River Saddle Company with the winner receiving a hand made trick riding saddle.

Thanaya Ferris rode Karen Shaw's, 'Xanadu Of Sefton' to win the class for Open Pony 11.2-12hh.

Harry Beckel from Mallala in South Australia rode his, 'Cloverash Royal Etiquette' to sixth place in the class for Open Pony 11.2-12hh.

Daizi Plumb rode her dad's, 'DP Gigolo' to win the class for Open Pony 12-12.2hh and a little later also took out the class for Small Child's Pony.

Caitlin Fricker from Adelaide in SA, rode her own and sister, Victoria's, 'Falconhurst First Dance' to take second place in the class for Small (N.E. 12.2hh) Child's Pony.

Georgia Dalley rode Martine Duncan and D & E Gregory's, 'Rathowen Sorcery' to third place in the class for Open Pony 12-12.2hh.

Ava Halloran rode Alannah Halloran's well performed, 'Harrington Park Symphony' to fourth pace in the class for Open Pony 12-12.2hh.

An always busy Jess Stalling rode Brae Digney, Kristy Montgomery and the J & R Equestrian nomination, 'Royal Queen of Sefton' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Galloway 14-14.2hh and go on to take out Best Novice Galloway award.

Brent, Jean and Kelly Hull's, 'KL Embers' won the class for Novice Show Hunter Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Kristy Glover rode her own and the Carlingford Park Riding Ponies', 'CP Maiden Voyage' to win the class for Show Hunter Pony 13-13.2hh and go on to claim the Best Novice Show Hunter Pony award.

Jessica Waite rode her own and Kaluda Park's charming nomination, 'Athanor Milo' to win the class for Show Hunter Pony N.E. 12hh.

Eliza Meiklejohn has grown up in the Sydney Royal Easter Show arena and over the years has had a great deal of success. Today she out rode a quality field to win the class for Lady Rider 21-30 Years and the rider from Cowra went on to claim the Lady Rider Championship.
