2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show

New Zealand rider, Bridget Hansen is having a successful show and is pictured aboard the Hansen family bred, 'Toulon NZPH' that took second place in the Part 3 jump off class this morning. The senior riders have just one more day of jumping with the Mini Prix and Grand Prix/World Cup Qualifier heading the bill tomorrow. Jumping will then take a rest and resume with the Juniors and Young Riders next Saturday.

Stuart Jenkins from Queensland has been in the money riding his talented, 'Fairview Aliquidam' (Alimo/Quidam de Revel mare) and jumped a good four penalty round this morning in the final Part 3 class of the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show.

It helps if you look where you are going, and Emily Longhurst and her eight year old mare, 'Rhapsody In Blue' the sensation of the 2015 Royal are certainly going places. They won the Part 3 class this morning to give them two wins a second and a fourth place to easily claim the Part 3 Champion Jumper award.

Peter O'Regan drove the Nagero Stud's super, 'Fairlight Acres Apache' to claim the Champion Shetland In Harness award.

Dot Dewsbury drove the Moongully Farm's, 'Moongully Farm Casspio' to win the class for Shetland Pony Stallion/Colt/Mare/Filly 7.2-8.2hh in Harness.

The Hackney Horse Championship was very much a Vince and Terry Show with Vince Corvi as always giving a driving masterclass. Vince drove the Corvi, Beggs and Cowan nomination, 'Hudson Vamoose' to claim the Hackney Horse Championship.

Terry Cowan took Reserve today, but every now and then he betters the master. He is pictured at the reins of the Corvi, Beggs and Cowan nomination, 'Hudson Valentina' that was declared Reserve Champion Hackney Horse.

Heidi Stevens drove Corinne Collins and Andrew James' nomination, 'Nawarrah Park Pink Panther' to claim the Non Hackney Harness Pony Reserve Championship.

Margaret Madden is pictured with her own and Nola Hendy's, 'Glenwood Mirror Image' (G.Exclamation/G.Blue Print) that was declared Champion Pinto Stallion/Colt.

Michelle Ritchie claimed the Supreme Led Pinto award with her mare, 'Moonwind Park Prosperity' (Daiquiri Holy Smokin Jo/Delaridge Moon). She is pictured with Marco Onofri who is presenting his mother, Ruth Onofri's Memorial Trophy for Supreme.

It was a battle of the Bensley's in the Harness ring this afternoon. Melissa Bensley (nee Jones) drove the Jones and Bensley's eye catching Hackney, 'Cherry Farm Alarick' to claim the Buggy/Sulky Horse Championship.

Vicki Roycroft and her, 'Congo Z' have hit form at the right time. They jumped two super clear rounds to take second place in the prestigious Part 1 FEI CSI Two Star EA Cup. Just the World Cup/Grand Prix to round out their 2015 Royal Easter Show campaign.

Richard Bensley is pictured driving the Jones and Bensley nomination, 'Cherry Farm Sir Thomas' during the judging of the Buggy/Sulky Horse Championship. His competition was his wife, Melissa, who on this occasion had the last word.

Tamara Mayo-Ramsay rode her own and Rosalie Mayo -Ramsay's, 'Diamond T Sakima' to win the class for Ridden Pinto 14-15hh and went on to claim the Best Ridden Pinto Exhibit award.

Kaitlyn Gray rode her own and Maddie Gray's, 'Willandra Heart Hitter' to take third place in the class for Ridden Pinto Stallion/mare/Gelding over 15hh.

Angela Peters rode her own and Scott Peters', 'Wakoda Xtreme Affect' to win the class for Pinto Stallion/Mare/Gelding Over 15hh.

Jenna Carrington rode her, 'Poco Bar Freckles' to second place in the class for Ridden Pinto Stallion/Mare/Gelding Over 15hh.

Ross Carbery drove his own and Miriam Carbery's spectacular team of huge Percherons to take out the Multiple Horse Business Turnout Championship.

There was a great sense of humour amongst the exhibitors in the class for Shetland Pony Business Turnout. The Blakeley Family's nomination of, 'Cranellie Eugene' and 'Kevelle Lee Fallon' won the class with groom, Caroline Blakeley and bride, Toni Roberts seated in a small Phaeton, getting in to the spirit of this entertaining class.

Izabella Stone trains with Tom McDermott and was one of just two riders to make it clear and under the time in the Young Rider class this morning. She took second place with her talented, 'Akon'.

Tess O'Connor from Seaforth in NSW won the class for Girl Rider 15 AU 17 Years and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Senior Girl Rider.

Courtney Cremasco from Razorback in NSW took third place in the strong class for Girl Rider 15 AU 17 Years.

Sophia Carlon jumped a good first round clear in the Junior class this morning riding her , 'It's Jealousy'. They finished just out of the placings.

Pli Kane and her, 'Ego Landmark' look to be matching the colours of the fence they are jumping. Colour coordinated or not they jumped a good first round clear in the Junior Jump Off class this morning.

Hannah Bufton from Balliang in Victoria took second place in the class for Novice Girl Rider 6 AU 12 Years.

Kate Kyros from Adelaide rode well this morning to win the class for Novice Girl Rider 6 AU 12 Years riding her 2014 national Champion Show Hunter Pony, 'Sienna Journeey'.

Eleven year old Madison Wheatley from Bega in NSW is pictured during the large class for Novice Girl Rider 6 AU 12 Years this morning..

Brooke Langbecker from Queensland rode her talented Vivant gelding, 'Phantom Vortex' to fifth place in the first of the two Junior Jumping classes today.

Savanna Hopkinson who trains with George Sanna had a great day on the Sydney arena today. She won the Young Rider class with Zenzation and was second in one of the Junior classes riding her talented, 'Barrichello' (pictured).

Riley Kent rode Sarah Ryan and the GC Equestrian, 'Dicavalli Royal Gianni' to win the class for Arabian Derivative Gelding Over 15hh and went on to claim the Ridden Arabian Derivative Championship.

Kim Martin rode Michelle Haber and Anjara Park's, 'Springtime Park Everlasting' to take out the Reserve Champion Ridden Arabian Derivative award.

Madelon McDonald won the class for Girl Rider 12 AU 15 Years and went on to be declared Champion Senior Girl Rider.

Daizi Plumb rode her dad's lovely five year old, 'DP Gigolo' by Silkwood Maxamillion to win the Open 12-12.2hh, the Child's Small Pony and went on to claim the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show Small Pony Championship and with it the Molly Higgins Perpetual Trophy.

More than just making up the numbers. Brynie Lee rode Andrew James and Corinne Collins' well performed Shetland, 'Kimba Crisp' to put on a great display during the Small Pony Championship.

Eliza Kearney rode her mother, Vicki Kearney and her grandmother, Jan Lyons' nomination, 'Jackafella Montana' to win the class for Open Pony N.E. 11.2hh.

Caitlin Fricker from Adelaide rode her own and sister, Victoria Fricker's nomination, 'Falconhurst First Dance' by Sandbourne Royal Ensign to claim the Small Pony Reserve Championship.

Jess Stalling rode Belinda Sibley's, 'Robbanie Chart Topper' by Royalwood Boy Soprano to win the class for Open Pony 12.2-13hh and take out the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show Large Pony Reserve Championship.

Jemima Walker from the UK got the best impression of Sydney Royal Championship day. She rode Greg Gerry and Darren Telford's, 'Beckworth Morning Symphony' by Rising Command of Beckworth out of Anthorpe Splendid Morning to win the Open 13-13.2hh class and claim the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show large Pony Championship.

Vicki Kearney rode her own and Jan Lyons' nomination, 'KG Goodness Gracious' to win the class for Open Pony 13.2-14hh.

A delighted Laura Heffer rode Eleanor and Greg Gerry and Lisa Cleary's nomination, 'Royalwood Chorus of Love' by Royalwood Boy Soprano to win the class for Lightweight Galloway 14-14.2hh and go on to claim the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show Galloway Championship.

"Fashions in the field". Jess Stalling wore this eye catching jacket when she rode the Christoffersen and the J & R Equestrian nomination and Lady's Galloway winner, 'Merivale Park Royal Windsor' for the Championship workout.

Briony Payne rode Dianne Banks and Margaret and Melanie Burns' well performed, 'Wesswoods Magic Caste' to win the class for Heavyweight Galloway 14.2-15hh and take out the 2015 Sydney Royal Easter Show Galloway Reserve Championship.

Hunter Taylor from Fitzroy Falls in NSW rode his, 'Willowcroft Coco Chanel' to win the class for Child's Galloway. Hunter is pictured during the Championship workout. With threatening skies, the Galloways were the only ones to get wet. The weather the cleared up for the hacks.

A beautiful horse beautifully ridden is an irresistible combination and Michael Christie again gave a riding demonstration aboard his own, Joh Bailey and Sandra McCann's nomination, 'Mikimoto' to claim back to back Sydney Royal Easter Show Hack Championships.

Syenna Vasilopoulos from Kangaroo Ground in Victoria rode her own and the GC Equestrian's former Sydney Champion Hack, 'High Fashion' to win the class for Open Hack 16-16.2hh and claim the 2015 Reserve Championship award.

Mark Kenzig produced a super workout riding his own, Victoria Gorst and Vicki Berwick's Open Over 16.2hh winner, 'Xlerate' in the Hack Championship, so much so that many thought the beautiful, big Zabeel gelding was in for a major prize. Alas he went home empty handed.
