Evie Brand led her, 'Nilton Calypso' (Nattai Calypso/Nattai Skylark) to third place in the class for Led Section A M/F/G Hunter.

Joanne McDonald's, 'Spring Plains Gypsy Princess' (Lambrook Park Duckery/Mithril Gypsy Tune) took second place in the class for Led Welsh Section D M/F/D Hunter.

Jack Forge did the honours with the Forge Family's Welsh C, 'Nawarrah Park Phanton'(Synod Aristocrat/Acheron Pytaten) that was declared Champion Led Welsh Hunter.

Dimity Chalmers was on the end of the lead and Hahana Young rode Anne Cochrane's very well performed, 'Wyann Brazil' (Wyann Taurus/Rochdale Jenny Wren) that claimed second place in the class for Leading Rein Welsh Hunter.

Jodi Dobson's, 'Wyann Great Expectations' (Bamborough Benvolio/Fairlight Acres Prediction) was fourth in the class for Ridden Show Hunter M/F/G 13-14hh.

Erica Clark's, 'Devine Festive Occasion' (Whiterose Michelangelo/Falconhurst Festivity) took second place in the class for Ridden Show Hunter M/F/G 13-14hh.

Beth Rowley rode Megan Hodge's well performed, 'Flowerdale Top Shot' (Weston Park Tully/Flowerdale Fuchsia) to win the class for Welsh First Ridden Pony and go on to claim the national Welsh Leading Rein/First Ridden Championship.

Deanne Walker led and Emily Walker rode, 'Wendamarr Cherry Blossom' to win the class for Welsh Leading Rein Pony

Ella O'Doherty rode LM and BE Cooke's, 'Kawanna Park Solitaire' (Llanfairbryn Desert Fox/Bamborough Rose of may) to take second place in the class for Welsh First Ridden and claim the 2017 National Welsh Leading Rein/First Ridden Reserve Championship.

Michael Gates did the honours with Jan Langley's lovely, 'Langtree Spellbound' (Langtree Composer/Scarlet Ribbons imp) to claim the National Led Open Show Hunter Championship.

Rebecca Lee's splendid, 'Cataraqui Hasufel' (Nattai Sprig/C Arielle) won the class for Ridden Welsh Hunter Stallion/Colt of A, B,C, D breeding.

Sophie Belcher rode the Austin and Belaradah Pony Stud nomination, 'Koora-Lyn Poitier' (Koora-Lyn Mikhall/Dovedale Whoopi) to win the class for Open Show Hunter 13-14hh and go on to claim the 2017 National Reserve Champion Open Show Hunter award. A little later in the day they also took out the Children's Ridden Welsh Pony Championship.

Successful exhibitor, Libby Greshner rode her home bred and well performed, 'Beauparc Glitterati' (Cherrington Damascus/ Sea Rhapsody0 to win the class for Open Show Hunter M/F/G Over 14hh and go on to claim the Sir Percy of Paxhall imp Trophy for 2017 National Champion Ridden Show Hunter.

Sherryn Barber's, 'Bronte Park Armani' (Trentlyn Aramis/Koorana Crystal0 took second place in the class for Open Ridden Show Hunter M/F/G Over 14hh.

Isla Evans ride Sally Bayles', 'Nilton Precious' (Nattai Creme of Eppynt/Nilton Policia) to win the class for Children's Ridden Welsh M/F/G N/E 12hh.

Sarah Fletcher's, 'Murraydale Park First Light' (Bangot Hector/Coomonella Morning Star) took third place in the class for Children's Ridden Welsh M/F/G 12-13hh.

Violet Camera rode her, 'Nanteos Autumn Glade' to win the class for Children's Ridden Welsh M/F/G 12-13hh.

Sherie Kealy's, 'Shazalee Park Mocha' (Glenmore Buccaneer/S.P. Mimic) opened the Working Hunter classes on day one of the 2017 Welsh National Show.

Hannah Dunmore produced a good round riding the lovely , 'Ripple Brook Soldier' (Carlyle Pauper/Ripple Brook Jessie

Jessica Lee rode , 'Nilton Macpherson' (Nattai Madog/Nilton Maquette) to win the class for Working Hunter N/E 12hh.

Ella Nash from Tasmania produced a good round riding her own and Samantha Nash's, 'Llanfairbryn Delwyn' (Nattai Bedwyn/Lenson Park Desere) that took fifth place in the well attended class for Working Hunters N/E 12hh.

Elisha Clark rode the well performed and well behaved stallion, 'Bamborough Jacobite' (Eyarth Tigra imp UK/Bamborough Lady Jacalyn) to win the class for Working Hunter 12-13hh and go on to be declared national Reserve Champion Working Hunter.

Although, the As usually have the edge, the highlight of the Working Hunter classes today was, 'Nawarrah Park Bruce Almighty' (Acheron Absolutely Fabulous/Miss Cameo). Ridden by Megan Hodge and nominated by the Howe Family, Bruce demonstrated a lovely careful jump and a great canter to win the Over 15hh class and go on to be declared 2017 national Champion Working Hunter.

A good time was had by all. Ester Robinson was on the end of the lead and Ava Holland rode Judy Ritchie's charming, 'Woranora Nefertiti' (Woranora Mosaic/Imperial Nefertiti) to take second place in the class for Open Leading Rein Pony.

A few words of encouragement before the class. Taghan Kirkman led her, 'Prospect Blue Concord' (Ripplebrook Piper/Dalgangle Charm) to take fourth place in the class for Led Section A M/F/G Hunter.

Audrey Camera rode her, 'Kerulen Cossette' with a little help from Jason Scott to win the class for Open Leading Rein Pony. They went on to be declared National Champion Open leading Rein/First Ridden Pony.

Hannah Fletcher rode Rebecca Lee's, 'Rokewood Tiger Moth' (Ascot In Concert/Richdale Tiger Lily) to win the class for Open First Ridden Pony and they went on to claim the National Open Leading Rein/First Ridden Reserve Championship.
