Monique Crack rode GEE BEE WAE TONIC to place =1st in the Working class of the 13 - 17 years section of the Youth Show.

Melinda Cann riding SHADOW WHISPERER working out for an =1st place in the Working Class of the 13 - 17 years section of the Youth Show.

Adam Wallen was delighted to win the 2 Year Old Futurity High Point with DOONGARA RENDITION after taking out 1st place in the Halter section, =3rd in the Working and =1st in the Stock Route Section.

Kayleen Sutton placed 1st in the Working Section of the 3 Year Old Futurity with her mare DOONGARA POWER N ROSE and 2nd with LAZY D ROCKS GOLDEN GIRL owned by Dee Hunt and Huon Smith placed 3rd with ROPELY PARK CAMILLE owned by R & A.Linneth and 4th with his own mare BOONARA FASCINATION.

Huon Smith rode Ean & Kay Acton's SODA OPTIMIST to place 4th in the Halter Section, win the Working and Cattle Working Sections and take out Overall High Point Winner of the 4 Year Old Maturity.

A young Hudson Smith was gaining some early experience finding out what this campdrafting was all about as Dad, Huon & Mum, Colleen both were having successful runs in the 4 Year Old Maturity, placing overall 1st & 2nd. Another "superstar" in the future for sure.

Judge for the Campdraft and Cattle Working Sections Trader Wilson did his best under difficult circumstances after coming to grief riding some time ago and breaking his ankle. Normally the judge for cattle working and campdraft is on horseback, but on this occasion, he was confined to sitting on a high seat beside the camp, next to the ring.

Michael Marshall rode Sue Hill's YARRAWORRA MUDDY RIVER to place High Point 5th Overall in the Open Challenge.

Paul Dehnert and ROYALLE DOUBLE VISION going through their paces in the Campdraft Section of the Open Challenge to place as Overall High Point 2nd place.

Terry Ryan riding KIRKBYS STUD ZORRO placed 2nd in the Working Section of the Open Challenge, won the Campdraft section, and took out the Overall High Point 1st Place in the Challenge.

There was a lot of extra planning went into this year's 26th Annual Futurity, Youth Show and Challenges by the Gympie ASH Branch. The usual grounds at Kilkivan where the event is normally held each year was washed away in the Qld January floods and although the massive task of erecting new fences and buildings has now commenced, the process of rebuilding meant that the Branch decided to hold their annual event at Tansey Grounds. To add extra burden to the committee, President Ian Atthow had a horse accident earlier in the week rendering him unable to assist with the event but the girls carried on in great style in the mobile office for the two days of the event. Standing Secretary Mary Ann Atthow, sitting Lorna Fanning the Announcer, Office Assistant Wendy Trenlett and Treasurer Sandra Heeb.

Huon Smith rode ROPELY PARK CAMILLE owned by R & A. Linneth to win the Overall High Point 1st place in the 3 Year Old Futurity.

Karl Dunning had every reason for that big smile with winning the Most Successful Breeders Trophy award after placing Overall High Point 5th place in the 4 Year Old Maturity with CURRAHEE ELOQUENCE and High Point Overall 3rd Place in the Encouragement Challenge with CURRAHEE ENCORE.

Kayleen Sutton was awarded the Most Successful Exhibitor Award which ironically is presented by her family each year in memory of Lyn Shea, Kayleen's late mother. This is the 2nd time that she has won the award herself pictured riding DOONGARA POWER N ROSE. Pictured with her father Ron Shea and brother Rod.

Tayla Cann had a great day riding GARCON RUSTY to win the High Point Youth 8 - 12 years and to take out the High Point Youth Overall Award.

Gabe Crane riding COMMANDO in the Stock Route Section to win High Point Youth 13 - 17 years in the S.Q.M.C. Youth Show.

Terry Ryan rode 49ER DREAMING to win the Working Section of the Open Challenge.

Fran Adams riding KAMARU DRIFTER had a successful day competing in the Encouragement Challenge taking out the High Point 1st place Overall and the Owner Rider Award.

Anita Bryant riding TWO DAYS LATE in the Hack Section of the Encouragement Challenge to place High Point 2nd Overall.

The award for the Highest Scoring Gympie ASH Branch Member went to Sharon Durre who placed 4th Overall in the Encouragement Challenge riding COORINYA ATLANTIS.

Colleen Smith riding BOONARA ANGEL OAK to place 3rd in the Cattle Working Section of the 4 Year Old Maturity and to place High Point 2nd Overall in the Maturity to her husband Huon who took 1st place.

Quentin Szery rode his mare KOOLOOMBAH LIMITED EDITION place Overall High Point 3rd in the Open Challenge.
