2012 Australian Arabian Championships

Queenslander, Sharyn Hungerford rode her Centerline Encounter to take Reserve Champion in the Ridden Anglo Arabian Mare.

Callie James rode her beautiful, Naaman Flaunt It by Warrawee S'Preem to win the Champion Ridden Anglo Arabian Mare. After two days of warm and humid waether, today, especially this morning was back to wet conditions and the riders enjoyed the excellent, undercover facilities at SIEC.

A handful of Western Australians have headed east to compete at these Championships and stay on for the Grand Nationals, and they are having a successful time on their good moving and well educated horses. Kate Vaughan is one of the WA competitors and today she rode her Pembrooke Park Perfection by Cranston Park Khaan, to take out the Ridden Anglo Arabian Gelding Championship.

Jody Leembruggen rode her Illarak Stellik to make the finalists in the Ridden Anglo Arabian Gelding.

Rebecca Lewin riding her Warrawee Breez was a finalist in the Ridden Anglo Arabian Gelding.

Robbie Soster rode Deborah Fairbairn's, Warrawee Mardee Gras to be declared Reserve Champion Ridden Anglo Arabian Gelding.

Caitlin McNally riding her Tathren Enticing Rose was a finalist in the Ridden Partbred Arabian Mare.

Emma Adams rode Donna Taff and Deanne Azzopardi's, Mulawa Ballerina to take out the Reserve Champion Ridden Partbred Arabian mare award.

Kristen Strath had a very successful day with a number of exhibits. Kristen started the day by taking out the Reserve Champion Ridden Partbred Arabian Gelding with Longborne Show Horses, Longborne Esquire.

Aroha Gibb rode her Linden Charlie Brown in the strong class for Ridden Partbred Arabian Gelding.

The colourful combination of Anthony Hurley aboard Wisteria Park Stud's, Gardenia Park Mercedes competed in the Ridden Quarab Mare or Gelding.

Georgia Latchford riding her Aloha Gold Oscar by Aloha Telesman took out the Champion Ridden Quarab (Quarter horse x Arab) Mare or Gelding.

Nicole Barnes rode her Towitta Wollemi to be declared Reserve Champion Ridden Arabian Stock Horse Mare or Gelding.

Emily Sharp rode her Cabaret to make the finals of the Ridden Arabian Warmblood Mare or Gelding.

Jessica Henne rode Meaghan Wright's, Symarron's Darby to make the finals of the Ridden Arabian Warmblood Mare or Gelding.

Mandy Lewis rode her Lac-La-Biche Play Boy to make the finals of the Ridden Arabian Pony Mare or Gelding.

Katherine Farrell riding her wonderful, Owendale Lemon Twist was a finalist in the Ridden Arabian Pony Mare or Gelding and later in the day won the Youth Bridle Path Hack NE 14.2hh.

Tiffany Bignold rode her 15 year old, Glo-Brook Legend to win the Ridden Arabian Pony Mare or Gelding. This wonderful pony that competes at Prix St Georges dressage also won the Jackpot Barrel race later in the day.

One of the youngest competiors of the Championships, Zoe Bilson rode Arielen Bentley in the Ridden Arabian Pony Mare or Gelding.

Katie Kelly rode her beautiful Harrington Park Simply Devine to be a finalist in the Ridden Arabian Riding Pony.

Hannah Giblin rode Riversleigh Arabian's, Millawarrah Mandalay to be declared Reserve Champion Ridden Arabian Riding Pony Mare.

Laura Galeano rode her Galhaven Euphoria to make the finals of the Ridden Arabian Riding Pony Gelding.

Paula Ayres from Western Australia, exhibited her Bevanlee Folklore by Ascot Royal Portrait to win the Ridden Arabian Riding Pony Gelding.

Carol Huxtable riding her Viva Espana was one of 30 competitors in the class for Ridden Arabian Gelding.

Carlie Beer rode her Inshallah Re-Ality to make the finalists of the Ridden Arabian Gelding Championship.

Alexandra Strange rode Lynette Fenwick and Janine Woodall's, Zara Farm Warman to make the Ridden Arabian Gelding finals.

Veronica Mortimerrode her own and Jenni and Clint Saunders good looking, Fairview Ibn Shakla Khan in the Arabian Gelding Ridden.

Peta Cormack is a keen dressage competitor as well as Arabian competitor. Today her two well trained horses won their classes. In this photo Peta looks thrilled to have won the Arabian Gelding Ridden Championship with Mulawa Vivacious. Earlier in the day Peta was just as happy when her Little Paddocks Gift took out the Championship for Ridden Partbred Arabian Gelding.

Chris Lambert from WA rode Lucy Lambert's, Aranita Hayday to claim the Reserve Champion Ridden Arabian Gelding title.

Lee Stubbs rode her Tathren Harrison to take out the Reserve Champion Youth Bridle Path Hack N.E. 14,hh Championship.
