At the Grand National the classes are split into heats, then each heat enters the arena to warm up, then each rider has a free two minute work out. Then the Top Ten are announced. For the Galloways and Horses the English judge then rides each of the Top Ten. The horses are then presented in hand for the judge to look at the conformation and movement. In the pony classes the Top Ten are just presented in hand.
