Judge Phillip Kirkby from Narrabri enjoyed his day in the warm sunshine, pictured here with the youth judges, horses & handlers. He gave a very informative evaluation of each horse on completion of the class explaining to the young judges vital points to take into consideration whilst judging pointing out the differences between the horses in hand.

Carly Domrow had a good weekend with her gelding MELUCA STUD JACKSON placing as the winner of the Working section of the Two Year Old Futurity & placing equal 2nd Overall High Point of the Futurity. They also placed 3rd Overall High Point in the Junior Hack Challenge.
Kayleen Sutton was delighted to win the Two Year Old Futurity & Owner/Rider with hers & husband Brians SHEADY ULTIMATE DESTINY. The filly sired by the famous stallion ACRES DESTINY from SHEADY DINKUM LADY was bred by Kayleen & Brian.
STOCKHAVEN TOPAZE owned by Peter & Kerrie Allan was ridden by Huon Smith placing as the winner of the Working section of the Three Year Old Futurity & Overall 2nd High Point in the Futurity.

KIRKBYS STUD OMAHA ridden by Ian Atthow was the winner of the Working section of the Open Challenge with these lovely low turns & placed 2nd Overall High Point in the Challenge. Ian also took out the Owner Rider Award in the Challenge.
Kathy Donald rode Huon & Colleen Smiths' STOCKHAVEN SONNETT to compete in the Encouragement Challenge only to take out the Overall Winner of the Challenge. When she borrowed the horse to compete, she never dreamed of winning the Challenge.
Nathan Cusack rode his gelding SEVENANGLE NEON MOON to win the Stock Route section of the Junior Hack Challenge and place an Overall High Point 5th place for the Challenge.
A lovely extended trot executed by SOUTHERN CROSS MERLIN and owner rider Malcolm Adams gave him the points to win the Hack section of the Senior Challenge after a first placing in the Led section, 2nd in the Utility and then taking out the High Point Winner of the Senior Challenge.
Gwen McMillan's DONRICA CONRAD ridden by Huon Smith was the Overall High Point Winner of the Three Year Old Futurity.
Jeff Keppel rode PINAROO DESTINY to win the Cattle Working section of the Three Year Old Futurity then placing an Overall High Point 5th place.
Winner of the Four Year Old Maturity Cattle Working section BOONARA CARNIVAL ridden by Huon Smith finished as the Overall 2nd place High Point of the Maturity.
Colleen Smith rode KELGAI CINDERS to place 2nd in the Cattle Working of the Four Year Old Maturity and to place as an Overall High Point 3rd place in the Maturity.
SEVENANGLE CLEVER ridden by Ian Atthow placed 2nd in the Campdraft section of the Open Challenge & placed an Overall High Point equal 3rd in the Challenge.
SODA REVELATION ridden by Jason Pearce & owned by S & W. Collins was the winner of the Cattle Working section of the Open Challenge and went on to take out the Overall Winner High Point of the Challenge.
Mary Ann Atthow, the secretary of the Gympie ASH Branch & well known identity within the ASHS presented the Most Successful Breeders Trophy to Peter Allan, himself a Director of the ASHS. Peter and wife Kerrie proved their breeding to be most successful when 3 of their Stockhaven Stud bred horses had great success during the weekend of the show.
Kayleen Sutton once again took out the prestigious Most Successful Exhibitor Trophy, making this her 2nd year in a row. The Lyn Shea Memorial Trophy happens to be in memory of her mother and together with her dad, Ron & brother Rod, many family members attended the show for the presentation of the trophy. Little did they know that Lyn's daughter Kayleen would take out this award and was a wonderful surprise for her aunties, uncles and many cousins who had travelled long distances to attend.
High Point Winner of the Junior Hack Challenge was awarded to DOONGARA POWER N ROSE ridden by Kayleen Sutton after placing equal 4th in the Led section, equal 1st in the Hack section and 2nd in the Utility Section.

Rod Shea borrowed his sister Kayleens DOONGARA POWER N ROSE to compete in the Encouragement Challenge winning the Stock Route section & placing Overall 2nd High Point in the Challenge.
Tayla Hill rode GLENWELL FORT BALLINGER to place 3rd Overall High Point in the Senior Hack Challenge with Tayla taking out the Rider under 21 yrs award.
Gabe Crane rode MURRAYS COMMANDER to win the Utliity section of the Senior Hack Challenge and to place Overall High Point 5th place in the Challenge.
