2012 NCHA Bayer Imax Gold Futurity

With an 8am start on the first day of the 39th NCHA Bayer IMAX Gold Futurity there was an air of excitement, as the horses and cattle enter the arena, with eleven days of competition and $700,000 prize money on offer.

Ben King riding 3K Partner's imported stallion, Catsablue. started off really well but unfortunately slipped near the end of their run and retired, in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Jason Leitch rode Liz Speed's, This Cats on Fire to score 141 in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Rob Hodgman rode J and J Farley's Stylish CD to score 146 and take second place in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Heath Sinclair riding R and C Greer's, Dulces Glory ( the 2009 Futurity winner) scored 145.5 to take equal third in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Phil Dawson rode the Prestige pastoral Company's, Alittle Red Rooster to score 145 and take equal fifth place in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Scott and Kim Campbell's, Hollywood Pepto by One Stylish Pepto (IMP) scored 138 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity. With 116 three year olds at their first show, there are too many to judge in one day so the class is split over two days.

Rob Hodgman rode his EBS Eucalypy by Reyn Storm (IMP) in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Phil Dawson rode John Keats' Susies Topcat by Whos Top Cat (IMP) to score 126 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Jamie Creek rode Truclass Quarter Horse's, Truclass Cougar by High Brow Cougar, in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Steve Byrne rode the stallion, Rooster Run by The Little Rooster (IMP) to score 139 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Troy Randell riding the Thompson Family's,Stormy and Stylish by Reyn Storm (IMP), scored 140 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Lucky Duck was ridden by Clint Allen to score 140 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Corey Holden from Victoria rode his own Peptos Stylish Oak (IMP) mare, More Than Reddy to score 141.5 in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Dean Holden riding Jim Lyon's, Roys Catolena by Highlightcat scored 142 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity. Dean is well placed moving into the second round, however it is a long way to the $75,000 first prize cheque.

Local resident, Bruce Holmes rode Yulgilbar QH Stud's, Yulgilbar Well Played Oak by Peptos Stylish Oak (IMP) in the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Xavier Haris rode HQH Reydiance by TR Dual Rey to score 127 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

R and M Harland's, Destachics Garter by Destiny Mr Chic scored 142 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Heath Sinclair from Bell in Queensland rode HDK Nominees', Miley Stylish by Peptp Stylish Oak (IMP) to score 126 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Jason Leitch rode C and S Parker's stallion, Jewel and Boon by Peppy Boontown to unfortunately only score 128 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity. Jason lost his cow in the very last few seconds of his 2.30 minute run.

Corey Holden rode D and C Merygold's, Acres Outlaw by Acres Destiny (IMP) to score 141 in the first division of round one of the 2012 IMAX Gold and Tamarang Open Futurity.

Todd Graham rode Peter Ryan's , Kazzanna Kat (IMP) to score 144 in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge. This combination was just out of the placings but round one is all about just getting a good score on the board so you move into round two well placed.

Mark Smith from Emerald in North Queensland, rode his own Intricatolena (IMP) mare, Winderadeen Scat Cat to score 136 in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Alana Tones from Kilcoy Qld rode Barbara Williams' Miss Pepsan to score 142 in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.

Jason McClurg rode his own Royal Applause to score 142 in the first round of the Leading Edge QHS Open Classic Challenge.
