They won the Medium 4.3 with 71.03% and were second in the 4.2 (72.69%) to be declared 2014 National Medium Reserve Champions.

It was good to see international dressage rider, Rachael Downs back in the winner's circle at the 2014 Australian Dressage Championships. Rachael partnered John Potter's impressive Sir Donnerhall gelding, 'Silbermond' to score a great 76.11% to win the Trailrace Medium 4.2 test. They took second place in the 4.3 with 69.18% and claimed the 2014 National Medium Championship.

Well known Australian international rider, Matthew Dowsley opted for summer uniform on the final and hot day of the 2014 Saddleworld Australian Dressage Championships. He is pitured riding his home bred First Kiss gelding, 'Ferdinand' that placed third in the Trailrace Medium 4.3 test with 68.60%.

Nina Boyd is pictured riding, Peta Wilson's Cool Cat gelding,'Felix Da Vinci' in the Trailrace Medium Championships.

Judy Dierks rode Vicki Newham's delightful, Diamond Hit gelding, 'Diamond Star' to take second place in the Prix St Georges Stars of the Future class for horses ten years and under.

Nicole Tough's lovely Furst Henrich gelding, 'Furst Tyme' was a little overawed by the indoor, but the charming horse looks to have a great future. They took ninth place in the Stars of the Future Prix St George with 65.10%.

David Shoobridge rode the Revelwood Stud's home bred OOSeven gelding, 'Agent de Jeu' to third place in the EA Stars of The Future,Prix St Georges with 67.36%.

Glenda De Wit rode her Don Ramiro mare, 'Milfield Dominique' to sixth place in the EA Prix St Georges Stars of the Future with 66.10%.

Rodney Martin was back in action today with Andrea Beatty's, 'SPH Sonata Hit' by Sandro Hit to take fourth place in the EA Prix St Georges Stars of The Future class.

Michelle Baker took fourth place overall in the Bird's Equisport Novice Championship riding Kelly Paton's Prestige gelding, 'Bradgate Park Puccini).

After over a decade of running the Australian Dressage Championships, Toni Venhaus is stepping down as Event Director for next year and the committee would also like a year or two off. Toni and her team have fine tuned their operation and the Nationals have been for many years a truly world class event for both riders and spectators. They will be a hard act to follow and we look forward to the who and where for the nationals in 2015. There are few venues suitable for the Nationals and SIEC is certainly the best. They may go on tour as in previous years, but there is a groundswell of support from the riders that they stay at SIEC. Thankfully Toni will remain the driving force of the popular Sydney CDI.
