Andrew Lamb from Dennison in Gippsland jumped two super rounds riding his, 'CP Argento' (Vivant/CP Argentina) to win the the Part 1 class this morning and take out the Jim Barnes Memorial Perpetual Trophy.

Sarah Ryan from Queensland rode her beautiful, 'Holly's Galaxy' to win the class for Lightweight Galloway 14.2-15hh and ride away with the 2018 Sydney Royal Show Galloway Championship.

Taylah Hutchinson's, Burnbrae Park Talisman' won the class for Lightweight Galloway 14-14.2hh and took out the Galloway Reserve Championship.

Ella Spinks all the way from Darwin in the NT rode her, 'Miss Melody' to take fifth place in the class for Working Hunter 14-15hh.

Vienna Smith from Victoria rode her, 'Hypnotic' (Barely A Moment/Bright Talk) to claim the Runner Up award in the Crane Trophy for Mares 15-16hh Showing Thoroughbred Qualities and Suitable for Breeding Show Hacks.

Clint Bilson's 'Exotic' was one of the Highly Commended finalists in the Crane Trophy.

The finalists for the Crane Trophy and the Pope Cup were stripped of their saddles and assessed for conformation before the awarding of the prizes. Rachael Addison's 'Queen of Hearts' (Haayil/Noire Rose) stood up particularly well and was awarded the 2018 Crane Trophy. Rachael is pictured with her lovely mare.

Caitlin Brewer jumped one of just two first round clears this morning riding her, 'Celeborn Ego Z' to take second place in the first of two Showjumping classes for Amateur Riders.

Amanda Madigan rode Melissa Gillies', 'My Learned Friend' to win the class for Working Hunter Over 15hh.

Laura Northover rode her charming, 'NV Hudson' to take second place in the class for Working Hunter Over 15hh.

Jess Stones as always produced a beautiful workout riding the J & R Equestrian and Olivia Daffrun nomination, 'Taittinger' and was one of the Highly Commended Finalists in the AV Pope Cup for Geldings Over 15hh Showing Thoroughbred Qualities.

Deanne Pinney's, 'Manowood' was one of the Highly Commended Finalists in the Pope Cup this afternoon.

Briony Randle rode the B & C Equine, Warren Coyle and Howard Morris nomination, the well performed 'WHB Entourage' to be one of the Highly Commended Finalists in the Pope Cup.

Successful showing exhibitor, Di Firth rode Candace Ellis' well performed, 'CP Renaissance' to be one of the Highly Commended Finalists in the Col AV Pope Cup this afternoon.

Stephen Gladstone has made a great start to his 2018 Sydney Royal campaign by claiming the Best Led Thoroughbred award with his beautiful, 'Heartbreaker' (Bertolini USA/Space Time FRA). They went on later in the day to be declared Pope Cup Runner Up.

Courtney Gibson's, 'Yartarla Park Mercedes' won the class for Novice Pony N/E 12hh.

Michael Glen rode Leah Walsh and the SJM Equine nomination, 'ACM Ballerina' to win the class for Novice Pony 13-13.2hh and claim the Best Novice Pony award.
