40th Naracoorte Horse Trials

For many years, certainly not 40, Bobby Haynes has provided the "breakfast of Champions" on cross country day for all the workers at Naracoorte.His bacon and egg in a hole specialities are certainly worth a seven hour drive or a day as a jump judge. Well done again Bobby.

Isabel O'Loughlin finished on her dressage score, 49.2 aboard her, 'TP Ovation' to take second place in the Ned's EVA 95cm competition.

Shannon Walters and her, 'Nothings Secret' make a stylish and attentive jump on their way to sixth place in the Ned's EVA 95cm competition.

Lara Tomlinson gives her 'Winters Mount Curious' plenty of freedom to sort out this fence on the Ned's EVA 95cm cross country course. Sadly they retired later in the class. Adelaide For Star Course Designer, Wayne Copping designed the Naracoorte courses for all the grades and as always the fences were beautifully built and the test, as always challenging but fair.

Cathy Haensel added just cross country time penalties to her dressage score to finish in 16th place in the Ned's EVA 95cm (Preliminary in old money) riding her , 'Huntington'

Sophie Knight and, 'Leguna Seca' added just one showjumping rail to an otherwise fault free competition to take eighth place in the Ned's EVA 95cm competition.

Tilly Maywald rode her, 'Henchman' to take ninth place in the Ned's EVA 95cm competition.

Emily Daley and 'Aremdale Sunday' jump a beautiful and typical Australian cross country fence on their way to sixth place in the Logan Floats EVA 105cm (Pre Novice in old money).

Well know and successful South Australian eventer, Kerri Bowman is pictured aboard her, 'Fourwinds Funky Chic' that led the Logan Floats EVA 105cm class from start to finish.

Dale Flynn and 'Aurum Simply Brilliant' took fifth pace in the Logan Floats EVA 105cm class.

Danni Hampton's, 'Kisschasy' did not have to cross his fingers over this fence. He made a lovely jump and they are pictured on the Logan Floats EVA 105cm cross country course.

Joanna Grant and 'Burnbank Bridie' are pictured in happier times on the Logan Floats EVA 105cm cross country course. Unfortunately they withdrew from the competition later on the course.

Sadly some time after this super jump, Julie Goodall and 'La Bellisima' retired from the Logan Floats EVA 105cm class.

South Australian Grand Prix showjumper turned eventer, Anthony Thomas rode his, 'Red Bull' to take second place in the Logan Floats EVA 105cm class

Samantha Cesnik rode her, 'Fendi F' to take 12th place in the Graham 'Kanga' Parham CIC One Star competition.

Victorian international eventing rider, Katja Weimann rode her home bred, 'BP Maximus' to third place in the Graham 'Kanga' Parham CIC One Star competition.

Megan Jones as always had a busy and successful day. The Olympic Silver Medallist rode her home bred, 'Kirby Park Invader' by Kirby Park Nantamboo to lead from the outset and win the Graham 'Kanga' Parham CIC One Star competition.

Megan Hart and 'Dynamic Poser' took tenth place in the Graham 'Kanga' Parham CIC One Star competition.

Caitlin Keith rode her, 'Domino Effect' to take fifth place in the Graham 'Kanga' Parham CIC One Star competition.

Victorian, Andrew Cooper is pictured aboard, 'Evergem Perfection' on their way to winning Mitavite CIC Two Star competition. Andrew added just 1.6 cross country time penalties to his dressage score to win with 65.20.

Sarah Clark and , 'Kirby Park Irish Consort' jumped clear in the final showjumping phase today to take fifth place in the Mitavite CIC Two Star competition at the 40th edition of the SAL Livestock Naracoorte Horse Trials.

Promising young South Australian eventing rider, Cooper Oborn rode, 'Kirby Park Irish Tom' to take second place in the Mitavite CIC Two Star competition.

Jaimie Stichel led the South Australian Young Rider team by example by winning the IRT CIC Three Star riding her 'Image Blue Ice'. South Australia won the National Young Rider Team Championship that was sponsored by EV High Performance.
