Jessica Tainish posted a good clear round, both jumping and time riding her NZ bred Thoroughbred, 'Punching In A Dream' to move from 20th place after the dressage to eighth place heading in to the final jumping phase of the Horseland CCI 2* tomorrow.

Talented Victorian young Rider, Sam Jeffree produced an outstanding cross country run aboard his Carbine gelding, 'Jaynee Calypso' to post a clear round, both jumping and time to move from eighth to first place heading in to the final jumping phase tomorrow.

Amanda Ross holds fifth place in the Horseland CCI 2* riding her own and Fraser and Chrissy Brown's Donautrum gelding, 'Dondiablo'.

With a characteristic cross country run, Shane Rose rode his own and Angela Shacklady's, Cassall mare, 'Easy Turn' to move from 12th to third place going in to the final jumping phase of the Horseland CCI 2* tomorrow.

Jess Somerfield rode her own and L and R Kelso's, Royal Hit gelding, 'Lakeview Albion' to add just time penalties for provisional 14th place in the Horseland CCI 2*.

Young Rider Hannah Klep from NSW jumped a good Horseland CCI 2* cross country round riding her Encosta De Lago gelding, 'Reprieve' to hold 13th place heading in to the final jumping phase tomorrow.

Victorian Young Rider, Sophia Landy posted the fastest Horseland CCI 2* cross country run riding her Thoroughbred gelding, 'Humble Glory' by Bernadini to move from 26th to ninth place.

Victorian rider, Isabel Houghton had some help in the form of Pepperment Fred on her shoulder. The toy is being sold in memory of the late Gill Rolton and her Olympic horse, Peppermint Grove to raise money for cancer research. Isabel rode , 'Tulara Diarangol' by Diarado to add just 1.6 time penalties for provisional 12th place in the Horseland CCI 2*.

South Australian Young Rider, Steph Hann rode her, 'True Celebre' to post a clear round and move from 18th to sixth place in the Horseland CCI 2*.

Niki Rose has had a great deal of success at Adelaide and today she rode Lee Hokianga and Jamie McDonald's, 'Glenorchy South Park' to post a clear round and hold provisional fourth place in the Horseland CCI 2*.

Victorian rider, Kirilee Hosier posted a good Horseland CCI 2* cross country run riding her Thoroughbred gelding, 'Regal Red Jasper' to hold tenth place heading in to the final jumping phase tomorrow.

Walking on water. Successful NSW eventing rider, Emma Mason posted a super round riding her own and David Wright's AEA Metallic mare, 'Aramatai Fox'.They hold second place heading in to the final Horseland CCI 2* jumping phase tomorrow.

Jade Findlay is pictured on the Mitsubishi CCI 4* cross country course riding her , 'Oaks Cordelia. Unfortunately Jade was one of the 50% of Four Star riders to not make it to the finish line. The Mike Etherington-Smith course was as tough as has been seen at Adelaide, well up to international standard. There were a number of Four Star first timers this year which did not help the statistics.

As expected, Sonja Johnson jumped clear around the Mitsubishi CCI4* track riding the eye catching stallion, 'Misty Isle Valentino'. Or so we thought, until it turned out that they crossed their tracks on course which constitutes a refusal, although Valentino jumped everything in front of him. They hold provisional fourth place heading in to the Mitsubishi CCI 4* jumping phase tomorrow.

New Zealand combination, Amanda Pottinger and 'Just Kidding' added just 12.4 Mitsubishi CCI4* time penalties to lead the field in to the final jumping phase tomorrow with 47.2 penalties.

Representing New Zealand, Jessica Woods holds provisional tenth place in the Mitsubishi CCI4* riding her, 'Just de Manzana' by Just de Pomme.

Victorian professional, Andrew Cooper did not have the best of time during his cross country run aboard , 'Hunter's Hill', but he survived and heads in to the Mitsubishi CCI4* final jumping phase in 11th pace.

Glamorous Adelaide couple, Samantha and Clayton Kennedy are two of the many spectators who enjoyed the beautiful weather and action on cross country day.

WA rider , Emily Gray jumped a super Mitsubishi CCI4* cross country round to hold third place riding her Jubilee Bay gelding, 'Jocular Vision' with 67.30.

Hazel Shannon rode Terry and Ginette Snow's 2016 Adelaide Four Star winner, 'Willinga Park Clifford' to post a super round over the tough Mitsubishi CCI4* track to hold second place on 51.50 heading in to the final jumping phase tomorrow.

WA rider, Lauren Browne produced a copybook trip through the influential and difficult 9abc on the Mitsubishi CCI4* course riding her talented and elegant Thoroughbred, 'Skys Da Limit' by Hurricane Sky. They hold seventh place heading in to the final jumping phase tomorrow.

New Zealand representative, Hayley Frielick is pictured aboard her Thoroughbred, 'Class Action LP' by With Class. They hold fifth place heading in to the final Mitsubishi CCI 4* jumping phase tomorrow.

Young Queensland rider, Madeline Wilson had a successful day and is pictured aboard her Mitsubishi CCI4* ride, 'I'm Bruce' by Fisherman's Friend. They hold provisional eighth place.

Amanda Ross jumped a good RM Williams CIC3*cross country round riding Fraser and Christine Brown's impressive import, 'RLE Poynstown' by Ars Vivendi, to hold fifth place heading in to the jumping phase tomorrow.

Shane Rose added just 4.4 cross country time penalties riding Soigne Jackson and his own, 'Ultimate Velocity' to move from third to provisional first place in the RM Williams CIC 3*.

Victorian rider, Callum Buczak jumped the fastest RM Williams CIC 3* cross country round for the addition of just 1.2 time penalties riding his , 'Matavia Cheval' by Champion FP. They hold provisional second place.

Victorian rider, Chelsea Priestley holds tenth place in the RM Williams CIC 3*. aboard Isabel O'Loughlin eye catching, 'Skansen Purist'.

Gemma Tinney had an unlucky run out that marred an otherwise great round over the testing Mitsubishi CCI 4* track riding Jane and John Pittard's Donnablitz mare, 'Annapurna'. It was an impressive Four Star debut for 21 year old Gemma and the talented mare. They hold sixth place heading in to the final jumping phase tomorrow.
