2012 Adelaide Royal Show

Tim Clarke from Mortlake in the Western District of Victoria won the Gawler World Cup Qualifier last weekend and is showing good form to take out the Adelaide Qualifier next week riding the wonderful, 'Caltango'. They are pictured on their way to winning the Part 1 One round class today.

Darci Walshe rode Harry Beckel's, 'Wynara Hocus Pocus' to win the class for Open Pony 11-11.2hh and take out the Imperial Pippa Prize presented by the Fricker Family. They are pictured with L-R judge, Jodi Allen and award presenter, Liz Francis.

Jamie Bruggemann from Echunga in SA took out the much sought after, Dorothy Manson-Gray Memorial Trophy presented to the winner of the Good Hands Competition for Girls and Boys 12 Years and under.

Chelsea Nelson rode Melissa Karutz' delightful, 'MP Be My Diva' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony N.E. 12hh.

Abby Bernardo rode Isabelle Barker's charming, 'Rivington Hurrah' to take second place in the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony N.E.12hh.

On a cold and blustery morning, Isabella Johnson looked absolutely delighted to be competing on the Main Arena at Adelaide Royal Show.. She rode her own and Michelene Johnson's 'Wynara Minuet' to take fourth place in the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony N.E.12hh.

A very elegant Brooke Keir drove the Keir Family's successful, 'Canberra Park Velvet Queen' to claim the Non Hackney Horse/Galloway Reserve Championship.

Elsa Avery is, as the politicians are keen to say, "always going forward". Elsa from Marcus Hill in Victoria drove her well performed, 'Crosswynds Duchess' to take out the Non Hackney Harness Horse/Pony Championship.

Russell Johnstone from Whittlesea in Victoria is having a very good start to his show. Russell rode his 'Carlo' to win the Part 3 jump off class this morning.

Adam Rensonnet is pictured riding the David Quick nomination, 'Isle of Sapphire' that took fourth place in the Part 3 jump off class first up this morning.

South Australian rider, Nicholas Crowe is back in the jumping arena and with great success riding his own and Holly Crowe's , 'ASB Quindoctro'. They took second place in the Part 3 this morning and were fifth yesterday.

Madeline Pagon from Willunga in SA rode her delightful, 'Kolbeach Jack In The Box' to sixth place in the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony 13-14hh.

Denae Moir from Balaklava in SA rode her , 'Naringa Touch of Sandstorm' to fifth place in the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony 13-14hh.

Alison Rowland from Western Australia rode a beautiful jump off round in the part 2 three round class today. It was smooth, precise, elegant and well ridden and the fastest by more than half a second. Alas the talented 'Bickley Brook Bianca', a full sister to BB Bella just rolled the last vertical. They had to settle for fifth place, but we will no doubt see much more of this combination in the prize line ups in the coming months.

Russell Hearn is not long back from a trip to Europe that included the Olympic Games. He is clearly trying to practice what he saw and it certainly made perfect today. Russell rode his own and wife, Bernadette's talented, 'Luxenburg' to win the Part 2 three rounder.

Louisa Smith rode her 'Dunelm Sequin' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony 13-14hh.

Brynie Lee from Eden Park in Victoria is having a wonderful show. Today she rode her ,'Owendale Barley Sugar' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony 12-13hh Together they went on to take out the award for Best Novice Show Hunter Pony.

The Mc Mahon and McCormick Families', 'Silkwood Angel Wings ' is the ultimate show pony. After a hugely successful career, Angel is still up, ears forward and working beautifully. Ridden by Vienna Smith, 'Angel Wings won the class for Open Pony Hack 11.2-12hh.

Victoria Fricker rode the Corumbene Stud's well performed, 'Silkwood Nutkin' to take second place in the class for Open Pony 11.2-12hh and second place in the Smartest on Parade Riders Under 12 years. Victoria also placed third in the Best Junior Driver 8 years and under 12 years.

Calum Cusack drove the Holberton and Cusack nomination, the well performed, Hackney Pony Stallion, 'Makari Vitality' to take out the award for Reserve Champion Hackney Harness Pony.

An in demand Brynie Lee rode Roger Searle and Bonnie Cox's well performed, 'Bordershow Boy Scout' to fourth place in the class for Open Show Pony 11.2-12hh.

Felicity Devereux from Portarlington in Victoria is pictured working out in the class for Open Pony 11.2-12hh riding her delightful, 'Amaranda Summer Cloud'.

On his first visit to Adelaide Royal, the very successful harness exhibitor, Warren Barlow drove the Barlow Family's,'Dunolly Nicoli' to claim the Hackney Harness Pony Championship.

Rhys Vaudin from Murray Bridge in SA with mum, Anna along for the ride won the class for Best Junior Driver 8-12 Years.

Jess Marnie rode the Argyl Stud's, 'Argyl Royal Flush' to win the class for Open Pony 12-12.2hh.

Caitlin Fricker and the Corumbene Stud's , 'Falconhurst Reflections' are a study of elegance in miniature. They worked well to take second place in the class for Open Pony 12-12.2hh. and third place in the Smartest on Parade Riders 12 years and Under. Caitlin also placed fourth in the Best Junior Driver 8 and Under 12 years.

Vienna Smith rode Fiona McIntyre's well performed and charming, 'Roseagle Maestro' to take third place in the class for Open Pony 12-12.2hh.

Jamie Ellis from South Warrandyte in Victoria rode her 'Altication' to win the Junior jump off class this afternoon.

Sabrina Jaeschke from Loxton in SA rode her lovely, 'Rosedale Wembly' to win the class for Open Pony 12.2-13hh.

Hayley Gears from new Gisborne in Victoria rode Lucinda Fraser's, 'Royalwood Minuet' to fourth place in the class for Open Pony 12.2-13hh.
