Barastoc Horse of the Year 2013

As always there was a strong HRCAV representation at Barastoc. Amanda Rigby from the Horsham and District Equestrian Club led her beautifully presented, 'Rail Lifter' to win the class for Level 2 Led HRCAV Mount 15.3hh and Under. They went on to take out the level 2 led Championship.

Karen Whitaker-Taylor is pictured at the reins of her delightful Miniature Horse, 'Collandie Park Solitaire' during the Driving competition. Classes for Miniature Horses and Ponies were conducted on the beautifully maintained old Polocrosse fields.

An immaculately turned out, Louis Connard, pictured with "Sweetie" was declared Miniature Horse, Tiny Tot Champion.

Jessica Mahoney rode Andrew and Charlie Hunt's well performed, 'Argyl Royal Flush' (Kolbeach Royalty/Kolbeach Storybook) to take out the Barastoc Small Reserve Championship.

Indianna Shepheard rode Phoebe Sutton-Kouros', 'Radford Lodge Sweett Dreams' to make Barastoc Small Pony Top Ten.

Zoe Murray stepped aboard the Richardson, Withers and Bell nomination, 'Rosedale Royal Chatter' by Rosedale Tempting that was declared Runner up Newcomer Small Pony yesterday to go one better today and take out the Barastoc Small Pony Championship.

A very dapper Junior Holtzhausen accompanied Layla O'Sullivan riding Christie O'Sullivan's, 'Langtree Gemima' to second place in the Conceptions Garlands Leading Rein Pony 12hh and Under.

Alannah Halloran and rider, Maddy Ginn added to the great Halloran and Ginn Barastoc. They took out the Conceptions garlands leading rein Pony class with , 'Harrington Park Peek A Boo', the dam of Harrington Park Symphony..

Malibu Park continued their successful 2013 Barastoc, with Jenna Backman riding Kerry and Paul Dunstan's , 'Malibu Park Pollini' by LJS Limited Edition to claim the Barastoc Large Pony Reserve Championship.

Chanele Hunter rode Lyn Warburton's lovely, 'Rosedale Songster' to take out the International Challenge large Pony Championship on Saturday night and today Songster by Rosedale Tempting out of Rosedale Serenity put her best foot forward and took out the Barastoc Large Pony Championship.

Ava Halloran rode the good working and eye catching Halloran and Ginn nomination, 'Karlana Opening Night' by LJS Limited Edition to make Barastoc Large Pony Top Ten.

Georgia Adams rode Emily McKernan's, 'Karlana Festivity' by LJS Limited Edition to make Barastoc Large Pony Top Ten.

The Barastoc Shetland Final is always a highlight and this year was no exception. It was as always a high quality field. Bella McIntyre is pictured aboard Tilly Edwards' Top Ten Shetland, 'Lynvale Lodge Jazz'.

Ebonie Lee rode Georgie Cameron's winderful, 'Otway View Xena' to take out the Barastoc Shetland Pony of the Year title.

Morgan Lane rode the Cox Family's, 'Gordon Park Concerto' to make Top Ten in the strong Barastoc Galloway of the year field.

Rachael Addison took out the International Challenge Hack Championship with her well performed, 'Boyfriend' that made Top Ten Barastoc Hack on Sunday.

Very well performed young rider, Courtney Remmington rode Jamie Carson's very well performed, 'Willowcroft Chance Encounter' by Urubula Regal Promise to take out the 2013 Barastoc Hack of the Year title. Chance Encounter has been show as a Galloway earlier in his career. He is right on the edge (15hh) and was recently measured as a Hack which he will remain as long as Courtney rides him.

Natalie McKay made Barastoc Top Ten Hack with her own impressive Rustic Amber gelding, 'Black Knight'.

Successful NSW producer and exhibitor, Mark Kenzig rode his own and Belinda Cusworth's handsome, Aspen Park Icon' to make Barastoc Hack Top Ten.
