Michael Cross made it a Young Rider double today with victory in the Caddelo Stockfeeds Young Rider A2 this morning riding, 'Little Bear'.They took out the Antares Australia Young Rider AM5 yesterday.

Victorian young rider, Melissa Robertson rode her , 'Amaroo Vee Be' to take fourth place in the Candelo Stockfeeds Young Rider A2 today.

Milly Clarke jumped a beautiful first round clear in the Bega Car and Dog Wash Mini Prix riding her new acquisition, 'Diamond B Jimmy Choo' that is the subject of the Off The Track story in the January issue of Horse Deals. Milly and Jimmy went on to take fourth place in the class.

Antares Australia principle, Jamie Smith is pictured aboard his , 'Wait A While' during the Bega Car and Dog Wash Mini Prix. They had one unlucky fence down which kept them from the jump off.

David Cameron and his team have 15 horses jumping at Bega. Dave is pictured riding Karen and Stuart Tinney's 'Orchard Hill' that was previously evented by Stuart to CCI Three Star level. Orchard Hill is now directed towards a jumping career and to that end jumped very well to take third place in the Bega Car and Dog Wash Mini Prix.

As the fastest first round four faulters, Stuart Jenkins and 'Fairview Animation' by Animate took fifth place in the Bega Car and Dog Wash Mini Prix.

Grant Hughes did not have such a hectic show, but he made the most of the rides he did have. Grant is pictured in winning mode riding Linda Meyer's Calvin Z stallion, 'Celeborne Ego Z' that won the Bega Car and Dog Wash Mini Prix.

Andrew Lamb makes a lovely jump aboard his, 'CP Argento' (Vivant/CP Argentina) that jumped a good four penalty first round in the Grand Hotel Bega Cup. It was a big step up for the talented gelding that won the Futurity at Bega last year.

David Boulton jumped one of five Bega Cup first round clears aboard his successful Daley K gelding, 'Special K'. Sadly a second round gear malfunction kept him out of the placings.

Tom Sutherland and the imported stallion, 'Nolisco' make a lovely jump during the first round of the Grand Hotel Bega Cup.

Ally Lamb's successful mare, 'Penrose' is not long back on the road after an injury lay off. The talented pair jumped a good first round clear in the Grand Hotel Bega Cup, but with two down and no hope of victory retired in the second round.

Successful local rider, Brett Clarke jumped eight and clear riding his talented, 'GH Tiger Lily' to take seventh place in the well attended Grand Hotel Bega Cup.

Jamie Smith and 'Mr Whitter' are past winners of the Bega Cup. They jumped eight and clear today to take eighth place. The Thoroughbred Mr Whitter shows lovely expression and attention to what is coming next in this photograph.

Caitlin Brewer stepped her talented , 'CMB Maximouse' up to the Grand Hotel Bega Cup and are pictured making a good jump during the first round.

Talented Emma Smith jumped a four penalty first round riding her stallion, 'Ego Casablanca' in the Grand Hotel Bega Cup. In an effort to make amends they jumped the fastest second round only to fault at the second last fence. They finished the class in sixth place.

Grant Hughes jumped a double clear in the Grand Hotel Bega Cup riding 'Blackall Park Atlantis' and it looked as if his run of ten second placings in the class was at last going to end. But alas, Grant was pipped by the very last horse to go and had to again settle for second place.

Young rider, James Hetherington originally from Tamworth and now training and working with David Cameron wins the style prize for the show. James has impressed with his riding and the proof of the pudding is demonstrated by his double clear for third place in the Bega Cup riding, 'PP Master Class'.

Rotspon is not a noted sire of jumpers, but in Stephen Dingwall's, 'Cavalier Bryn' he has a beauty. The combination won the Futurity at the 2011 Australian Championships and now making the first successful steps in the Grand Prix ranks jumped a super double clear to win the Grand Hotel Bega Cup two seconds faster than second place. Graeme Watts' Bega Cup course was challenging and interesting.

Approximately 380 horses attended the Bega Cheese New Year Showjumping Celebration this year. For many the attraction is not only this show and the jumping at Cooma next week, it is also the attraction of the beautiful Sapphire Coast. A trip to Bega is a holiday for all the family ans who could resist beautiful Tathra beach, just 15 kilometres away.
