Well known dressage rider and local, Sue Hearn rode Karen Celona's, Elrebel Monami to win the Pony Preliminary 1D. The Bowral Dressage Championships were conducted on the Bong Bong Picnic Racecourse. One popular race meeting is conducted at the beautiful course each year.

Patricia Boyle and HP Fierelli competed in the Medium Championship on the first day of the 2012 Bowral Dressage Championships. This is the first time the club has run the event over two days, allowing for more riders to compete on the sand arenas, after the last two competitions planed for February and April were washed out.

Tracie King rode Owendale Mickey Mouse to win the Pony Preliminary 1C. Tracie is trotting passed the old dairy shed that is now used by the local polocrosse club. Bowral is a beautiful and popular town just one and a half hours from Sydney in the NSW Central Highlands

Tiffany Northall rode Cookie Cutter on the grass arena in the Preliminary 1C. The dressage club has recently moved in a huge amount of fill with more to come, so in the future all areas will be purpose built with sand surfaces.

Matthew Dowsley rode Cheryl Smith's Don Fredericko stallion, 'Don de Sandro' (out of a Sandro Hit mare) to win the Medium 4C. Matthew did not have to travel too far as he and Rodney Martin now live just 10 minutes drive from the Bowral Dressage club grounds, just an hour and a half from Sydney.
