Bowral Dressage Championships

Michelle Baker rode the good moving Hillbreeze Stand Out to win both the Preliminary 1C and 1D to take out the Preliminary Championship.

Well known dressage rider and local, Sue Hearn rode Karen Celona's, Elrebel Monami to win the Pony Preliminary 1D. The Bowral Dressage Championships were conducted on the Bong Bong Picnic Racecourse. One popular race meeting is conducted at the beautiful course each year.

Kate Allen riding Don Cash took third place in the Preliminary 1C and equal fourth in the 1D.

Patricia Boyle and HP Fierelli competed in the Medium Championship on the first day of the 2012 Bowral Dressage Championships. This is the first time the club has run the event over two days, allowing for more riders to compete on the sand arenas, after the last two competitions planed for February and April were washed out.

Andrea Beatty and her delightful mare, Weekend Feeling put their best foot forward on their way to taking second place in the Medium 4C.

David McKinnon rode CJP Feiner Days to win the Medium 4B and place fourth in the Medium 4C.

Sally Kean and Freecell took equal third place in the Medium 4B and third in the Medium 4C.

Do not be fooled by the sunshine, today in Bowral was FREEZING with at times gale force winds, resulting in a huge number of scratchings. This is a wise spectator dressed for the conditions.

Tracie King rode Owendale Mickey Mouse to win the Pony Preliminary 1C. Tracie is trotting passed the old dairy shed that is now used by the local polocrosse club. Bowral is a beautiful and popular town just one and a half hours from Sydney in the NSW Central Highlands

Karl Northall and HH Vermhello make a nice start to their Preliminary 1D test. The Bowral Dressage Club has a real club atmosphere incorporating all levels in a friendly atmosphere.

Tiffany Northall rode Cookie Cutter on the grass arena in the Preliminary 1C. The dressage club has recently moved in a huge amount of fill with more to come, so in the future all areas will be purpose built with sand surfaces.

Alycia Elword riding Dutch Waltz took sixth place in the Medium 4C.

Antonine Le Page and Ferdinand were one of the brave combinations to test their skills in the Preliminary 1C despite the conditions.

Rachell Smith and Ballare competed in the Preliminary 1C.

Rachel Hunter and Jaybee Alliance placed equal third in the Preliminary 1D and fourth in the 1C.

Deborah Fairbain rode Warrawee Mardee Gras to win both the Elementary 3D and 3C.

Michelle Boswell and Rosebrook Dior placed equal fourth in the Preliminary 1D.

Kris Haines-Kellner and The Divine Miss M, who was very pleased to still have her woolly coat in the freezing conditions, competed in the Preliminary 1C.

Wendy Calabro and Ebenezer Gendame competed in the Preliminary 1D.

Erica Malcom rode AEA Amigo to fourth place in the Elementary 3C.

Jocelyn West rode Hunterview Rockstar to fifth place in the Medium 4B and 4C.

Amanda Byrne and Killara Wildflower took third place in the Elementary 3C.

Pamela Rice and Rosthwaite Tinkerbell placed second in the Pony Medium 4B.

Joadie Artup rode Deltry Sorrento in the Medium 4B.

Taylah Collins and Windchimes of Linden placed third in the Pony Medium 4B.

Kathy Turner rode Rockfire U Turn to win the Pony Medium 4B.

Lisa Joyce riding Northern Landerson II took sixth place in the Medium 4B.

Vicki Watt and Silver Hills Matador competed in the Preliminary 1D.

Matthew Dowsley rode Cheryl Smith's Don Fredericko stallion, 'Don de Sandro' (out of a Sandro Hit mare) to win the Medium 4C. Matthew did not have to travel too far as he and Rodney Martin now live just 10 minutes drive from the Bowral Dressage club grounds, just an hour and a half from Sydney.

Wendy Lorinza and Jazz Fusion placed second in the Elementary 3C.
