2011 Brisbane Royal Show

The iconic Brisbane Royal Arch where many a champion has stood under, took many hands to erect today as each part of the arch was carefully screwed together like fitting a jigsaw puzzle together.

Not a usual sight to be seen at Royal Shows of someone in a wheel chair working out in a led class. Karyn Norris who sustained horrifying injuries from a horse accident 3 years ago, made a comeback to the Royal Show arena today. Assisted by her wonderful partner Ben Healey, Karyn successfully led the horse MADISON PARK FLETCHER to place 2nd in the Australian Stock Horse Gelding 4 years old & over, over 15 h.

Working out in the Australian Saddle Pony Gelding over 12 hands & ne 13.2 h class Leigh Sears entry HILFIGER.

Champion Australian Stock Horse Gelding BINARA HUGO BOSS was exhibited by a very happy Penny Burcher.

Champion Australian Saddle Pony Gelding MIRINDA TOUCH OF MINK owned by the Douglas Family of Qld with judge Nancy Miller.

Working out to win the Australian Stock Horse Filly 1 year old and under class TOPSHELF COVER GIRL exhibited by Stephanie Evans.

KALLENIA JESSICA 11 exhibited by Jackie Long & the Emery Family was awarded the Best Australian Stock Horse Two Years Old & Under Exhibit.

RATHOWEN RUBY RED owned by Kelly Bond was shown by Richard Sharman to win the Australian Saddle Pony Mare over 12 hands & not exceeding 13.2 h.

Another Champion ribbon for the well performed mare RATHOWEN SCARLET RIBBONS exhibited by Sally George winning the Brood Mare class and then taking the purple ribbon in the Championship for the Australian Saddle Pony Mare.

Adrianne Bowden was a happy girl to have taken out the Champion Australian Stock Horse Mare with YAGONEA TECHNICALITY MAGIC.

Lisa Foster was very happy to have taken out the Champion Australian Stock Horse Stallion with RIVERDALE VOODOO but then to go onto win the Supreme Champion Austrlalian Stock Horse award as well, made her day.

A very well performed rider Hannah Fotheringham riding BOBADIL OAKS GEMMA took out first place in the ASHLA class & the Junior award.

Melissa Southern had a busy day competing in Stock Horse classes taking out 2nd place with CANOME LADDY in the ASHLA class.

What a brilliant day for Maddie Watchirs firstly winning the Champion Working Australian Stock Horse with her stallion WATCHIRS STAR and then winning the Campdraft in the evening.

Karl Dunning riding CURRAHEE ENCORE placed 4th in the Working Australian Stock Horse Stallion class.

Western Australian rider Evie Buller riding YALAMBI'S UKLAHOMA won the Show Jumping AM5 Competition today.

Allan Wallen rode SEVENANGLE HORATIO to win Reserve Champion Working Australian Stock Horse.
