Daizi Plumb got the family day at Canberra Show off to a good start by winning the class for Girl Rider 7-9 Years.

Kiara McEvoy of the NSW McEvoys won the class for Girl Rider 9-11 Years.

Sam Davidge rode the Davidge Family's well performed stallion, 'Jindalee Casanova' to win the class for Australian Stock Horse N.E. 15hh Ridden in a Curb Bit.

Tamara Lee rode the Howe Family's 'Nawarrah Park Dazzle' to win the class for Novice Show Hunter Pony 12-2-13.2hh.

The Bamborough Pony Stud's, 'Bamborough Mystical ridden by Maddi Tabak took fourth place in the class for Novice Show Hunter 12.2-13.2hh.

Troy Wilson from Bega was declared Reserve Champion Gentleman Rider.

Matthew Snell got his 19th birthday celebrations off to a good start by winning the class for Junior Gentleman Rider 17-21 and going on to claim the Gentleman Rider Championship.

Marcia Beard made the most of her first trip to the Royal Canberra Show by taking out the Galloway Hack Championship with her beautiful Open Lightweight 14-14.2hh winner, 'Kolbeach Circus'.

The Shetlands in harness took 'Gordon Park Masquerade's' eye off the ball during the Galloway Championship workout for just a minute. Lily McEvoy made a quick recovery with her well performed horse that won the class for Child's Galloway 14-14.2hh. Earlier Lily was declared Champion Senior girl rider.

Maddi Tabak is pictured during the Galloway Championship workout riding Casey Waldock's well performed, 'Janevelyn Chivas Regal' that won the class for Child's Galloway 14.2-15hh.

Thomas Madigan has been winning Championships up and down the eastern seaboard of Australia since he was a very young boy. Thomas from Mackay in Queensland won the class for Boy Rider 13-15 Years, was declared Champion Senior Boy Rider and Supreme Champion Rider Under 17 Years.

Jacob Wells from Corowa in NSW won the class for Boy Rider 11-13 Years and was declared Champion Junior Boy Rider.

Newly resident in Victoria, Sally Shaw kept on her winning way by taking out the class for Girl Rider 11-13 Years and claiming the Junior Girl Rider Championship.

Tori fair is an in demand rider these days and she again produced the goods with the Riemer girls, Barastoc Small Pony of the Year, 'Radford Lodge Candy Cane' that was declared Canberra Royal Champion Small Pony Hack.

An in demand Jess Stalling rode Emma Richardson's beautiful, 'Royalwood Song of Spring' to take out the Canberra Large Pony Championship.

Isabella Cross-Winston made a good impression with the Fraser Family's Child's Pony 12.2-14hh winner, 'Willowcroft Miss Saigon' during the Large Pony Championship workout.

Heather Davidson took out the Australian or Part Bred Andalusian Championship with her mare, 'Gotico Park Maiara'.

Well performed show rider and judge, Kate Treneman won the class for Lady Rider 21 A.U. 40 years and was declared Reserve Champion Lady Rider.

As always Angela Rodham put on a beautiful side saddle display during the lady Rider Championship workout. Angela rode her impressive, five year old, 'Skyview Trilogy' (a full brother to Skyview Bridie) that was declared Best Novice Show Hunter earlier in the day. Trilogy was also declared Champion led Sporthorse and won the Ridden Sporthorse class. He will be in action again tomorrow in the Open Show Hunter classes.

Surprising as it may seem,Jane Gardner from Londonderry in NSW won the class for Lady Rider over 40. it is not surprising that she won, it's surprising that she is over 40! Jane went on to be declared Champion Lady Rider.

Perhaps not surprisingly, she is after all a FEI Dressage rider. Gina Montgomery produced the workout of the Hack Championship riding her own and Sue Pedersen's outstanding new kid on the block, 'Coast'.

It has happened before, but it is not often that the Best Novice winner gets up to take out the Open Hack Championship. Dale Plumb looks quietly satisfied with his beautiful 16-16.2hh winner, 'DP Amazing' that was declared Best Novice, Champion Hack and Supreme Led Thoroughbred.

This is the fifth time Kyra O'Brien has taken out the Supreme Australian Stock Horse Under Saddle award at Canberra Royal. On this occasion the talented horsewoman rode the O'Brien Family P/ship's, 'O'Brien's Flauntette'. The four year old gelding by Oaks Acorn out of the super mare, Cedar Downs Trinkette was declared Champion Working ASH and then Supreme Under Saddle. They are pictured with successful ASH exhibitor and judge, Karen Nicoll.

Brodie Howe rode the NSW Howe Family's successful, 'Doongara Willpower' to be declared Champion ridden Australian Stock Horse.

Talented Bega jumping rider, Clint Beresford rode his 'Belcam Atlantic' to take fourth place in the Canberra Grand Prix this afternoon.

Rhys Stones looked super impressive with his 'RS Crescendo' during the Canberra Grand Prix.

It was certainly Tom McDermott's show. He rode 'Statford Delight' to chalk up yet another victory in the Canberra Grand Prix. Tom was also third riding CP Rolex.

Grant Hughes took second place in the Canberra Grand Prix riding his 'Yakity Yak'. Grant is pictured aboard his 'Blackall Park Atlantis' that was sixth place.
