Darwin Royal Show 2008

Adrienne Simmons rode her Supreme Led Exhibit, Nekarbo Donner Rose into second place in the class for Novice Saddle Hack over 15hh.

Grace Simmons produced a good workout riding Nekarbo Luke in the Novice Saddle Galloway class.

Jane Shaw rode her Thoroughbred, Story, to win the Novice Hack, Champion Novice Exhibit and the Open Hack 15-15.2hh.

Vicki Lewfatt rode her own and Janette Wilson's, Jetcent to win the "Centerfold Memorial Trophy" for best Thoroughbred Hack. The five year old, Jetcent is by Jetball and last raced in July 2007.

Madelyn Farrington and The Gal is Cool produced a good workout in the Intermediate Saddle Galloway class.

Rachael Pen-Dennis rode Dilettante to win the Open Hack 15-15.2hh and they went on to claim the Reserve Champion Hack award.

William Shaw rode his pony, Willowcroft Blackjack along with his father Mike, to be declared Champion Saddle Pony.

Sharon Le Mesurier rode Sing Me Mica Beach in the Open Hack over 16hh.

Tina Buic rode Sir Dale in the Centerfold Memerial Trophy.

Five year old Katelyn Simpson at her first Royal, rode 17 year old, Princess. With the help of Dad, Russell, they won the Sub-Junior Pleasure Mount, Rider Under Six and Reserve Champion Rider Under 10 Years.

Seven year old, Natasha Clayton had a wonderful day at her first ever show riding Midgie. Natasha was first in the Good Hands for Riders 7 and under 10.

Alex Hunt rode Galaxy to place third in the Pleasure Mount Rider 7 and Under 10 Years.

Stephanie Glencross rode Manton El Pacis to jump a clear and then a four fault round in the Restricted Two Round Championship, for third place.

Sarah Stocks riding PPP Fun and Games jumped a clear then eight fault round in the Restricted Two Round Championship.

Cassie Hall is relatively new to the NT and she is injecting some new life and enthusiasm into the NT Showjumping scene. Today she rode Byalee Justice to win the Restricted Two Round Championship with a double clear.

Elizabeth Jacob and Flash Henry jumped a double clear round in the Restricted Two Round Championship for second place.

Teresa Cunnington rode her Andalusian/Clysdale cross, TC Warrior to be declared Champion Hunter.

Ayrial Harburn rode Eungella Guapa, her Warmblood by Grand Cavalier to be declared Reserve Champion Hunter.

Western Australian, Sally Shaw had a wonderful show riding her pony, Andlyn Park Fashion. Today this combination won the Saddle Pony under 12.2hh, Best Sub-Junior Rider and Best Sub-Junior Mount.

Olivia Ruzsicska was very pleased to win the Sub-Junior Encouragement Award.

Cindy Busse from Alice Springs rode her Arabian, Rahma Park Shah of the Nile, by Orana Rahma, to tho win Open Galloway 14.2-15hh, the Lady's Galloway and then went on to be declared Champion Galloway Hack.

Jamaica Bisset-O'Shea produced a good workout riding Playboy to claim the Reserve Champion Galloway award.

Michaela Bradley rode her Australian Stock Horse, Claredale Mayfair to win the Open Saddle Galloway 14 to 14.2 hh.

Lindsay Melville rode Solo Control to take out the first "Specks Kootenia Memorial" Open Six Bar. They are pictured with award presenter, Gordon Cunnington. Specks Kootenia was a 15.2hh Quarter Horse that dominated NT showjumping for many years, ridden by Teresa Cunnington.

Porshe Mason rode her new hack, Lemrac's Laureate, to win the Open Hack over 16hh. Laureate went on to be declared Champion Hack and Supreme Ridden Hack.

Chloe Kleine was very pleased to win the Linda Hadden Memorial -Junior Encouragement Awarded. Pictured with L-R Joe Bremner and judges Penny Toft Qld. and Wendy Hunt SA.

Veteran Polocrosse player, Larry Phillips showed great skill in the demonstration match.

Matt Deveraux rode his wonderful ex-race horse, Itchikawa in the demonstartion polocrosse match. Matt and Itchikawa head to the Polocrosse Nationals in Perth in October.

Monica Walshe had a good day shotting five goals for the yellow and goal team in the exhibition polocrosse match. The NT A Grade Ladies and Mens teams made up two mixed teams for an excellent display of polocrosse.

Amelia Palmer (left) rode Stardust Rustler to win the Ridden Stallion class, while Linda Clarris rode Riverwaltz to win the Ridden Australian Stock Horse Championship. Both horses are by last year's Champion Led Stallion, Riverdance, out of Cattle Duffer mares.
