After three rounds of jumping and a final ridden apprasial by Colleen Brook, 'Tulara Balouch' (Balou du Rouet/Carbine mare) bred by Mark Fraser of Tulara Warmbloods and ridden by Alex Rooney was declared Kentaur Five Year Old Jumping Horse Champion and went on to be declared 2011 Young Jumping Horse Champion of Champions. The gelding also won the award for Best Australian Bred and Registered Jumping Horse. (Participating registries include, ACE Group, AWHA, AWSHA, HHAA, ISSA, Trakehners Australia.

Ally Lamb had a sensational show with her own and husband Andrew's 'Diamond B Corsica' that was declared Greystone Four Year Old Young Jumping Horse Champion. Bred by Chris and Helen Chugg, Corsica is by Conquistador out of a King Tristram mare.

Guest Showjumping judge and coach, Greg Best who won Team and Individual Silver at the Seoul Olympics in 1988 and now resident in New Zealand was a huge hit. He gave a master class for every rider with positive and up beat comments. Best has been the "best" jumping Star that far in history of the competition.

Stuart Brennan led the field from the outset in the Revelwood Stud Young Jumping Horse Championship with his Irish Sport Horse, 'Raylyn's Eliza' The mare by Lysning out of Raylyn's Rose received high praise from all three judges.

Jumping Horse Judge and test pilot, Colleen Brook did a superb job, of course we expected no less, in riding the four Jumping Age Group finalists. She gave a mini Masterclass on each horse and enjoyed ever minute of it.

Popular and successful Grand Prix rider, Gitte Donvig was second in the EA and Australian Sports Commission Grand Prix yesterday with 65.72% and tonight was third in the always popular Grand Prix Freestyle with 67.36%.

Popular and successful Victorian jumping rider, Murray Sproull took sixth place over all in the Greystone Four Year Old Young Jumping Horse Championship riding Bruce and Debbie Williams' 'Hollingrove Eve' (Escudo 1/Stirling Lip, Sip and Suck).

Melissa van den Berge rode Belcam Stud and Wolfgang Grafe's super imported Hanoverian stallion, 'Now On Top' (Now or Never/Contendro 1 mare) to take overall second place in the Greystone Four Year Old Young Jumping Horse Championship. This wonderful stallion also took seventh place in the Four year Old Young Dressage Horse Championship. His efforts earned him the Ester Bellis Trophy donated by the Horse Magazine and presented to the Best Performed Young Horse competing in both the Dressage and Jumping Championships.

Jessica Clark looks delighted with her 'UQG Galahad' after her ride in the Hamag Young Rider Freestyle. Bred by the University of Queensland Gatton, Galahad is by the imported and exported stallion, Gulit out of the mare, What A Thrill.

Stephanie Spencer from WA is pictured with her 'Tallong Coral', an Arabian Warmblood mare by Storman Courage out of Fine Tradition during the Hamag CDI Young Rider Freestyle.

Gabriella Robson rode her Donnerhall gelding, 'Doncartier' to take third place with 64.37% in the Hamag CDI/Y Young Rider Freestyle.

Successful Young Rider from Queensland, Elliott Patterson rode his Lauries Crusader gelding, 'Leandro' to second place in the Hamag CDI Young Rider Freestyle with 66.15%.

New South Wales eventer and dressage rider, and 2010 Young Rider World Cup representative, Megan Bryant ran away with the Hamag CDI Young Rider Freestyle aboard her sensational Salute mare, 'Donnabella' with 70.70%.

Jess Brown pictured making a stylish jump aboard 'Equus Costa Brava' by Conquistador took second place overall in the Kentaur Five Year Old Young Jumping Horse Championship with the Vivant gelding out of a Calvaro Z mare, 'Equus Echo'.

Kristy Haworth rode her TB/ASH/QH/ClydeX gelding, 'McManus' to 12th place in the strong Kentaur Five Year Old young Jumping Horse Championship.

Vet and jumping rider, Julie Sproull is pictured aboard her delightful'Holmwood Flare' sometimes known as "Telly Tubby" a Warmblood by Fleigantanzer to ninth place in the strong class for the Five Year Old Young Jumping Horse Championship.

Western Australian rider, Deon Stokes rode Kate Barton's stallion 'Lord Lamarque' (Locksley II/Ventas AA) to second place in the PSI Four Year Old Material Class for Riding Horses.. Deon also took second place in the Six Year Old Championship riding another of Kate Barton's horses, the Bellisimo M stallion, 'Bellario' (out of a Wolkenstein mare).

Young dressage rider, John Thompson was thrilled to win the PSI and International Horse Breeders Four Year Old Material Class for Riding Horses riding his own and Dimity Thompson's gelding, 'Hollands Bend Santana' (Sandro Hit/Larundel Graceful). Guest judge, Ingrid Klimke declared the horse to be, "an absolutely beautiful horse, it was a thrill for me to ride him and he is and exciting horse for the future". Ingrid gave him 9.5 for rideability.

Sarah Honeywell rode Celia Zastrow's 'Diamond Z De Niro's Dreamtime' (De Niro /Herr Dom Perignon mare) to second place in the PSI and Woodleigh International Five Year Old young Horse Championship.

Rodney Martin rode Andrea Beatty's 'SS Sonata Hit' (Sandro Hit/Clintino mare) to third place in the Woodleigh International and PSI Five Year Old Young Dressage Horse Championship.

Judy Dierks has had great success over the years at DJWTS and this year claimed the 4 Aces Six Year Old Young Dressage Championship riding Vicki Newham's imported 'Diamond Star' (Diamond Hit/Piacenza mare). "The very willing and very well schooled" gelding received a rideability score of 8.5. Diamond Star was purchased for Vicki as a surprise gift from her generous husband, Allan Newham.

PSI Principal, Ulrich Kasselmann made his first trip to DJWTS this year.

Daniella Dierks rode Katharine Farrell's beautiful 'Revelwood Donatello' (Don Ramiro/Morning Air) to claim the PSI and 4 Aces Six Year Old Young Dressage Horse Championship. Ingrid Klimke commented, "this is another horse I would like to take home. He is a total pleasure to ride, so light, easy , willing, balanced and trusting. I don't know what more a six year old can give you". The gelding was given a 10 for rideability and later in the day was declared 2011 Champion of Champions Young Dressage Horse.

Pauline Carnovale rode her own imported Sandro Hit mare, 'Una Supra' to take fourth place in the PSI and 4 Aces Six Year Old Young Dressage Horse.

Victorian rider, Sharon McKimmie rode her own 'Ambassi' (Sandro Hit/Sjardee L) to third place in the PSI and 4 Aces Six Year Old Young Horse Championship with a rideability score of 8.5.

One of the highlights of Ingrid Klimke's fabulous Mastercalss was watching Matthew Dowsley and 'Falstermeyer' negotiate the cavalettis. Ingrid believes in the benefit of this work for all horses. "It encourages the horses to stretch down and creates activity from behind and lift their legs higher".
