EFAV Open Dressage Competition

Hayley Gilbert and Odiana K competing won both the Prix St Georges and Intermediate I.

C. Prentice-McLean looks pleased to be entering the Medium 4.4 riding Woodmount Lanark.

Of the nine competitors in the Prix St Georges, three were young riders, including Phoebe Jones riding Skansen Moet, which was bred in South Australia by well-known dressage competitor, Lesley Taylor.

A Hutchinson rode Northern Bettina 3 in the fully subscribed Preliminary 1.4 section. Event organiser, Allen Bruno, commented that entries overall were down 25% on similar competitions run before EI.

L. Criuse rode her impressive stallion, Bourhanis Rosaldo in the Elementary 3.4.

K Cardwell and Crescendo competed in the Medium 4.2.

Catherine Holliday rode the virsitile Third Muskateer to score 62% in the Novice 2.2.

Judy Smith rode her own E. Gove, Flora Morrison and Mary Williamson's, Brentano mare, Betty Blue, for second place in the Medium 4.2 with a score of 63.5%.

John Thompson has been successful in the hack ring and is making quite an impression in the dressage arena too. John rode Jayay Grand Marnier to second place in both the Novice 2.2 and Novice 2.4.

Unfortunately Karen French riding J. Bastick's AEA Dutch Monarch was the only competitor in the Inter II and Grand Prix.

Well know competitor Rob Clay placed equal third in the Medium 4.2, riding Grand Proposal which was very interested in the galloping polo ponies. The polo grounds at the Werribee Equestrian Centre have been turned around, with the play now running in front and at right angles with the dressage arenas. The disturbance is now shared equally from ring one to ring three!

Courtney Powles rode Peter Powles stallion, Northern Apollo III to win the the Elementary 3.4 with a score of 69.8%. The Northern Warmblood Stud was well represented at Werribee this weekend.

C. Porz and Candi Ka won the Medium 4.2 with a score of 67.0% .

D Glover rode Pacifica (HC) in the Elementary 3.4.

A. Archer and Kimutai competing in the Elementary 3.4.

A. Neilson and Isa Love competed in the Novice 2.2.

Young rider competitor T Chapman rode K Kindlers, Blackall Park Karnival in the Elementary 3.2.

Pauline Carnovale and Lucico produce a good extended canter during their winning Advanced 5.2 test.

S Watkins and Golagos Vocal joined forces in the Preliminary 1.4 for sixth place and fourth place in the Preliminary 1.2.

Anna Sundblom rode the eye-catching Ecossasia Mac Talla were placed sixth in the Novice 2.4.

Setsuko Miike and Bravado produced some good canter work during the Intermediate 1.

Goldmine Solitaire ridden by R Kewish in the Elementary 3.2, was one of a number of pony dressage entries.

Dennis Hearn and Taubay were placed third in the Advanced 5.2 and fourth in the 5.4.

Sharon McKimmie rode D. McKimmie's Don Shiraz in the Prix St George for fifth place. This combination also placed third in the Inter I.

Jenelle Pitts rode W. Reed's Bonn Fritz in the Novice 2.2.

Young rider combination, S. Hoffman and Killarnies Dimatina competed in the Medium 4.4.

Cheryl Young competed on the promising Belcata Pheonix for equal first place in the Medium 4.4.

S Glove rode the promising Karingal Anastasia in the Elementary section. However, they were one of many who fell victim to the galloping polo ponies on the other side of the cyprus trees.
