Geelong Royal Show 2012

Dee Cooper from Winchlesea took out the Champion Led Australian Brumby award with her delightful 17 year old mare, 'Alpine Wildflower'. The mare was captured in the wild some years ago in the Victorian High Country and is now a valuable member of society and ridden five times a week.

Olga Szymiczek took out the Champion Arabian Stallion/Colt award with her, 'Simla Jafar'.

Well known and successful breeder and competitor, Wendy Nichele rode her home bred, 'Musk Park Benvenuti' to take out the Working Australian Stock Horse Championship.

Stuart Robinson had a successful show and is pictured aboard the O'Hagen & Robinson nomination, 'Cannibal Creek William' that was declared Ridden Australian Stock Horse Champion.

Dale Plumb rode his super successful hack, 'DP Amazing' to win the class for Lightweight Hack 16-16.2hh and went on to be declared Champion Large Hack and Grand Champion Hack.

Marcia Beard rode her own and Charlotte Scott's, 'Kolbeach Circus' to win the class for Open Lightweight Galloway 14-14.2hh and go on to take out the Small Galloway Championship.

One of the highlights of Geelong Show is the Donkey Race, which this year coincided with Caulfield Cup Day. Megan Schueler and 'Josephine' won the race this year.
