The Harry Potter entry won the day in the Under 9 Fancy Dress class in The Fun Ring. Sophie Polmie, (aka Maggie Smith as Professor Mac Gonigal) led Poppy Clemence (in character as a serious Hermoine) riding Hippogriff, 'Kooyong Diamon'. A knowledge of the Harry Potter books helps.

In the Fun Ring there was a Leading Rein class, only in reverse. Tanner Robinson is pictured doing a splendid job of leading her mother, Airlie Robinson aboard 'Rupert'.

Ashlee Howard-Harrison from Toongabbie rode her Australian Stock Horse, 'Roseridge Dennis' by Roseridge Box Office to win the Ring Three class for Show Hunter 15-16hh and take out the Champion Show Hunter Horse award. Ashlee was also declared Ring Three Champion Senior Rider.

Lynda Hayes is reunited with 'Kolbeach Promise' and continued where they left off. Lynda rode Karen Hendricks' beautiful pony to win the 13-13.2hh class and take out the Ring Two Champion Large Pony award.

The Oakford and Reeve nomination, the stallion, 'Millbrae Kenya' by Poplars Farm Pluto was declared Supreme Led Shetland.

Monica Tanian took out the Champion Pinto Stallion award with her, 'Mallawa Park INXS' (Dutton Lea Select/Sommerfield Anyanka)

The Lawrence Family's, Two Year Old Filly, 'Torika Park San Sational' (San Rubin II/Mustang Lodge Sea of Hope' was declared Supreme Led Pinto.

A well groomed and delighted, Sarah Allsopp representing the Upper Yarra Pony Club won the class for Best Presented PC Rider Under 9 Years.

Amelia Coad from Emerald rode her 'Wesswood Classic Caste' by Wesswood King Joshua and one of three galloways competing at Lang Lang out of the legendary Pure Caste, to win the Ring Three class for Elementary Galloway.

There were some super horses at Lang Lang in all sections, but it was the Galloway classes that created the most interest, with a couple of beautiful newcomers on show. Dale Plumb is pictured with a typically typey, 'Royalwood Centre Stage' by Royalwood Boy Soprano out of the mare, Knowing that was shown by Dale. Bred by Joanne Prestwidge and exhibited by India Mitchell, Centre Stage won the Ring Three class for Open Galloway 14.2-15hh and went on to be declared Reserve Champion Galloway.

Darryl Hayes rode Ashley Reid's well performed, 'Wesswood Royal Caste' by Bolagamy Valour to win the Ring Three class for Open Galloway 14-14.2hh and claim the Galloway Championship.

Daizi Plumb rode her 'Royal Secret' to take out the Ring Two Small Pony Championship and the Junior Rider Championship.

It was a grand day for the Shetland Pony Hacks at Lang Lang. A busy Briony Payne is pictured riding Emma Miller-Olsen's super, 'Fairlight Acres Carly' that worked her way up to claim the Ring Two Small Pony Reserve Championship.

Alicia Hughes rode her 'Chelleason Golden Emperor' to win the Ring Three class for Show Hunter Galloway 14-14.2hh.

Jessica Laughlan representing the Hastings Pony Club was declared Champion Senior PC Rider.

James Moloney rode his Welsh Cob, 'Primrose Park Red Fox' to take out the Ring Two Show Hunter Galloway Reserve Championship a well as the Ring Three Champion Rider Under 18 Championship.

Not to be out done in the new Galloway stakes, Darryl Hayes rode Graham Elliot's beautiful four year old, 'Holly's Galaxy' by Fernleigh Fine Print to win the 14-14.2hh class and be declared Ring Two Champion Galloway.

Christine Robins from Cranbourne caught the attention of the roving Horse Deals reporters with her charming 'Cookie'. Although not overly successful in the show ring, 'Cookie' described as a "brumby cross" was declared "Fattest Horse "in the Fun Ring and certainly looked a delight to ride.

Laura Huxtable representing the Cannibal Creek Pony Club rode 'Barney' to third place in the class for PC Mount, Riders Nine and Ten Years.

Michelle Paynter rode her, Rivendale Park Olivia' to win the Ring Three class for Show Hunter Pony 13-14hh.

Sarah Maley rode the wonderful and well performed. Lykanarro Roger Rocket' to be declared Ring Three Champion Show Hunter Pony.

Eileen Beaumont representing Bunyip Pony Club rode her 'Wingana Ruby Wax' to take second place in the class for PC Mount, Riders Eleven 11 and 12 Years.

Jennifer Douglas rode her 'Tapu Heir Apparent' to win the Ring Three class for Open Pony 13.2-14hh.

Daisy McDonald representing Pearcedale Pony Club took out the Pony Club Mount Championship with her, 'Ripple'.

Di Jose rode her, 'Salisbury Suspicious Love' (Weston Mirage/Barakee Olivia) to win the Ring Three 13-13.2hh class and claim the Reserve Large Pony Championship.

Olivia East did her parents (Roger and Samantha East) proud by winning the Ring Three class for Open Pony 12.2-13hh and riding well to take out the Large Pony Championship with her, 'Beckworth Winsome'.

Shae Hanger rode her lovely , 'South Africa' to win the Ring Two 16-16.2hh class and take out the Reserve Hack Championship.

L-R Kasey Carter rode 'Otway View Top Gun' to take second place in the Ring Three class for Open Pony 10.2hh and Under and her sister, Ella Osler claimed third place in the class riding, 'Gulwarra park Whiskey Rose'.

Newly qualified, Chiropractor, Sarah O'Connor from Sale is pictured riding her 'Mercedes' to second place in the Ring Three class for Open Hack 16-16.2hh.

Alex Berwick rode her beautiful, 'DP Prayer' to win the Ring Three class for Open Hack Over 16.2hh and go on to claim the Championship at their first outing together for 2012.

Well known and successful showing identity, Louise Doyle won the class for Open Hack 15-15.2hh in Ring Three riding her 'Intuition' by Willowcroft Explorer.

Everything is relative of course, as Shay Handley took out the Fun Ring class for Tallest Horse with her 'Solo'. We are not sure, but perhaps there were age groups or categories to sort out he entries, as 'Solo' was not the tallest horse at the show; just in the class.

Well known and successful showing rider from Geelong East, Rachael Addison was wrangling a horse of a different size at Lang Lang Show. Rachael is pictured with her 'Pemberley Whisper' (Danehill Royal Bow/Helden Park Petite) that was declared Champion led Riding Pony and Champion Led Junior Exhibit.
