Team Silver Medallist, Zara Phillips rode her , 'High Kingdom' for seven penalties in the Team showjumping round and was clear in the Individual round to finish her first Olympic Games in eighth place. After the Team competition, the top 25 go forward to a further jumping round to determine the Individual Medallists. The penalties are cumulative.
Joseph Murphy was a member of the fifth placed Irish Team. He rode the Cruising gelding, 'Electric Cruise' to add just 4.80 cross country time penalties to his dressage score to finish in 14th place Individually with 60.40.
US Team Member, Karen O'Connor rode , 'Mr Medicott' to finish the best of the USA contingent at ninth individually on 53.90. The US Team finished in seventh place.
Andrew Hoy at his seventh Olympics finished the best of the Australian contingent to take 13th place riding , 'Rutherglen' with 57.30 penalties.

French Team member, Lionel Guyon took 24th place Individually riding , 'Nemetis De Lalou' . The French team finished in eighth place.

Swedish Team Member, Niklas Lundback helped the Swedish Team take a good fourth Team Place riding his experienced, 'Mr Pooh'. They are pictured during the final jumping phase and finished the Olympic competition in 18th place Individually.
Italian Individual, Vittoria Panizzon commented that her horse 'Borough Penny Z' loved jumping. And we think Vittoria loves it too from this picture. The Cevin Z mare finish in eleventh place (up from 47) Individually with two clear jumping rounds.

Michael Jung created history today by claiming Individual Eventing Gold riding the wonderful 'Sam' by the Thoroughbred, Stan The Man. Jung and Sam are World Champions, European Champions and now Olympic Champions. They finished on their dressage score , 40.60.
