Anthea Buckland and 'Freedom Up Over' added nothing to their dressage score of 51.4 and hold on to first place in the CCIJ*.

Will Enzinger and 'ESB Irish Endeavour' make a perfect jump early on in the CCI** course. Their clear run moved them from sixth place to fourth with 53.8.

Meg Ferguson and her 'Conspiracy Theory' make a perfect jump into the Peppermint Grove Water during the CCI** cross-country. They jumped clear but added time penalties to hold 14th place going into the showjumping.

Rebekkah Foster and her 'Carisbrook Cool Bananas' make a perfect entry in to the Peppermint Grove water during their CCI** cross- country run. With just four time penalties to add, they head into the showjumping phase in eighth place.

Emma Scott and 'Mustang' demonstrate the form that saw them maintain their lead in the CCI** with a clear cross-country run. They head into the showjumping phase with 49.4 penalties.

Emma Mason from Lochinvar and 'FI Pharinelli' are keeping the pressure on. They went clear across-country in the CCI** and are just 0.4 penalties behind the leader heading into the showjumping.

Wendy Schaeffer demonstrated her great cross-country riding style aboard her seven-year-old Brilliant Invader mare, 'Koyuna Sun Shine'. Their clear round moved them from 11th to fifth in the CCI***. Wendy is also in third place with her other CCI*** mount, 'Koyuna Sun Dancer', also by Brilliant Invader.

Things were not looking good for Emily Anker and 'ESB Irish Accent'. A broken stirrup leather really unbalanced Emily, but look how Irish Accent is locked on to the next fence. Emily was able to sit up and pull him up and due to the gear failure, retired from the competition.

Young Queensland rider, Emma Dougall and her 'Dotcom' gave her older peers a riding lesson today. A beautifull and faultless run across country had them in first place with 46.7 penalties heading into the showjumping phase of the CCI***.

Jenelle Pitts and her wonderful Thoroughbred 'Mr Showoff' by Near Show won the dressage phase of the CCI*** and jumped clear, but the addition of 8.4 time penalties saw them slip to sixth place. They are however, less than two penalties behind the leader.

New Zealand rider, resident in Australia, Blair Richardson rode 'Maximum Overkill' to jump clear and move from fourth after the dressage phase to second place in the CCI*** with 48.1.

South Australian combination, Dominic Jones and 'Connor Shea' made easy work of the CCI*** track to post a clear round and head into the showjumping phase in 16th place with 71 penalties.

Sadly a run out added 20 penalties to the dressage score posted by Western Australian combination, Deon Stokes and 'Red Bull'. That error in the CCI*** saw them slip from ninth to 17th, but tomorrow is another day.

Sam Lyle and 'Interwin' were "walking on water" around the CCI*** cross country course. They added nothing to their dressage score to finish the second phase of the competition in fourth place with 49.4 penalties.

It was good to see Olivia Bunn back in action. She rode her 'GV Bullwinkle' by Rocadero to win the CIC/W dressage phase with 47.7. However 20 time penalties across country saw them slip to sixth place.

Queensland rider, Natalie Siankowski and her 'Kolora Stud Archie' have always had a happy time at the Melbourne 3DE. They jumped the only clear round across-country in the CIC/W to move from sixth to second with 55 penalties.

2006 Melbourne CIC/W winners, Emma Armstrong and 'Voortrekker', fourth after the dressage phase, added just 1.2 time penalties, to head into the showjumping phase in third place with 56 penalties.

Queensland proved very strong in the CIC/W with Kevin McNab and 'Hufflepuff' just adding 2.4 cross-country time penalties to assume first place at the end of day with 51.4 penalties.
