2014 Melbourne International Horse Trials

Victorian Samantha Cesnik rode her TB/WB/Arab X Ari De Gwaihir in the second day of the CCI* dressage phase.

Chelsea Priestley from Victoria as the final rider to complete the dressage phase in the 74 horse field of the CCI*. Chelsea rode Judy Gronn's, Warmblood Ashleigh Longtime to head into the cross country in 15th place.

Last years Melbourne 3DE 2* winners Victorian Rohan Luxmoore and his Bells N Whistles by Ard Black Cat, head into the cross country in equal 14th place in the CCI***.

Shane Rose from NSW rode his promising Thoroughbred, Shanghai Joe to 6th place with 52.4 in the dressage phase of the CCI***.

Augusta Clarke from NSW and her Thoroughbred Church Hill are in 17th place after their dressage in the CCI***.

A new addition to this years 57th Melbourne 3DE was a big screen just near the arena, a few of the horses were not so sure about this but ESB Irish Quest ridden by Tarryn Proctors did not mind at all.

Stephanie Thornton from Victoria rode her Thoroughbred, Dunking in the 25 horse field of the CCIJ*.

Stephanie Hibburt from Victoria rode her very cute 14.3 1/2 ASH, J Star Bushranger in the CCIJ*.

Elizabeth Crosato from NSW riding her WB/TB x hold 12th place going into the cross country phase of the CCIJ*

Caitlin Keith from SA rode her Thoroughbred, Domino Effect to eight place in the dressage phase of the CCIJ*.

Victorian Robert Palm and his Copabella Visage gelding, Visual Laughter head past the new VIP stand during their good dressage test, that has them in 4th on place heading into the cross country.

Isabell English from Queensland rode her delightful TB/Conn X Feldale Mouse to 13th place after the dressage phase of the CCI***.

With a lot of rain about Melbourne this afternoon, luckily Werribee Park missed most of it, however Stuart Tinney did cope one of the passing showers during his test. Stuart rode John and Jane Pittard's, Pluto Mio by Daley K to hold second place on 42.0 heading into the cross country of the CCI***.

Alexandra Townsend from NSW rode her Warmblood mare by Parco, Parodie to hold 11th place after the dressage phase of the CCI***.

Victorian Adam Benson rode his former race horse, Enthusiast by Sky Chase to 10th place after the dressage phase of the CCI***.

Victorian Katja Wiemann and her homebred BP Cosmopolitian by Triathlete had a wonderful back drop during their CCI*** test. Katja won last years CCI*** with her BP Flamboyant and hopes she can move up the leader board this year from her equal seventh place in the dressage phase and have a chance at the $10,000 first prize.

Tania Harding from NSW and her WB/TB/ISH Jirrima Yorkshire had the worst of the weather during their test. However, this combination holds 9th place after the dressage phase of the CCI***.

Jessica Manson from WA riding her ASH X by Ringwood Legality, Legal Star finished the dressage phase of the CCI*** in 19th place. However, Jessica will have fresh in her mind her recent Sydney 3DE performance where she moved from 15th to 2nd place.

Amanda Ross rode her own and M. Clough's, Warmblood by Don Giovanna, William Wordsworth to third place with 46.40 after the dressage phase of the CCI***.

It was smiles all round after Sonja Johnson and N. Harwood's, Thoroughbred Parkiarrup Illicit Liaison finished their winning test in the CCI*** with 44.6.

Charlotte Price from QLD rode Kevin McNab's, Thoroughbred Dustman to hold fifth place on 50.6 after the dressage phase of the CCI***. Charlotte is also in seventh place with Kevin McNab's, Kinnordy Gambia.
