2012 Melbourne Summer Royal

Tess Derby got her Summer Royal campaign off to a good start by claiming the RDA Division 3 Smartest On Parade riding her 'Prinze'.

Charlotte Conroy and 'Bogart' representing the Barwon Heads Pony Club took second prize in the Grade Four Under 13 Smartest on Parade.

Madelon McDonald and 'Wyann Dakota' representing the Barham Koondrook Pony Club won the Smartest On Parade for Grade Four Riders Under 13.

As always every year, the Horse Riding Clubs Association of Victoria (HRCAV) classes were well attended. Lisa Barnett representing the Beveridge ARC is pictured winning the Level Three Smartest On Parade with her Victorian bred Quarter Horse, 'Yulgilbar Offenbach'.

Belinda Sciberras and 'Aldon Park Dankstar' representing the Werribee and District ARC were one of the many beautifully presented HRCAV competitors on the very hot (38 degree) final day of the Melbourne Royal Summer Horse Show. They are pictured having just won the Level Four Smartest On Parade for horses 15-16hh.

Jack Futter and 'Cauvalier' are pictured going through the particularly spooky "noodles" during the Pony Club Handy Mount class for Riders Over 12 Years.

Adeline Collins and 'Mango' were the Corner Inlet Pony Club representatives in the Special Event For Pony Club Combinations. Just one member from each Pony Club is chosen to be judged on Presentation, Flat Riding, Jump Riding and Handy Mount.

Well known in the showing ring, Jamie Harding donned her Bacchus Marsh Pony Club jumper and is pictured riding her 'Addictive' to fourth place in the level One and Two Smartest On parade.

Kattesha Fox and 'Blackberry Nip of Huntingdale' representing the Heywood Pony Club are pictured during their workout for Handy Mount Riders Under 12.

Kimberley Revell and 'Majestic Tayluton' representing the Rochester Pony Club won the Grade Three Smartest On Parade.

Jessica Laughlin and 'Sharinga Satin 'N Silk' representing the Hastings Pony Club won the Grade Four 13 and Over Smartest On Parade. They went on to take second place in the class for Grade Four Rider Over 13 Years.

Ellie Jacks and 'Kareelah Shine' representing the Castlemain Pony Club won the Smartest On Parade class for Grades One and Two.

A delighted Amy Bachmann representing the Harcourt Pony Club looks justifiably pleased with herself. Amy rode her, 'Zigfactor to win the Grade Five Under 10 Smartest On Parade and went on to out perform all her older peers to claim the Pony Club Smartest On Parade Championship.

Brooke Haber and 'Owendale Rumours' representing the Whittlesea RC won the HRCAV level 1 Smartest On Parade.

Maddy Anderson rode her 'Hazy Ponds Queriditia' for the Warranooke RC to fourth place in the HRCAV Level Three Mount 15.2hh and Under.

Amanda Wilson and her 'Penmarric Sauvagnon' representing the Bendigo and District ARC won the class for Level Four HRCAV Mount 15-16hh.

Rhiannon Clarke and 'Zowie' representing the Rosedale and District ARC took second place in the class for Level Four HRCAV Mount 15-16hh.

Zoe Mumford and 'Take A Chance' representing the Glendale Equestrian Club won the class for Level Three HRCAV Mount 15.2hh and Under.

Although somewhat outnumbered, Robert Amott did his best to represent the Male HRCAV riders. Robert representing the Granite Rock ARC is pictured riding his 'Friendly Fred' in the class for Level Four HRCAV Mount Over 16hh.

Will Heagney had a successful day in the RDA Ring and swept the board in Division 3 riding the lovely thoroughbred 'Ballydoyle'. Will went on to take out the RDA High Point Award.

Eight year old Charlotte Richardson representing the Moyhu Pony Club out performed her older peers to claim the Champion Pony Club Handler award with some help from Cherie Mills' 'Palm Park Royal Acclaim'.

Maddeline Ayres representing the Little River Pony Club won the level Five Rider Over 10 Years Handler class and with the help of 'Glenview Silver Farthing' took out the Pony Club Handler Reserve Championship and later in the day was awarded Champion Pony Club Mount.

Tamsin Rankin representing the Bairnsdale Pony Club rode her, 'Belleview Dakota' to win the class for Grade Three Rider.

Hannah Brown representing the Bullengarook Pony Club took third place in the class for Grade Four Rider Over 13 Years.

Fifteen year old Claire Marriott representing the Benalla Pony Club rode her 'Tallyrand On Show' to to win the Pony Club Mount Grade 4.

Hayley Purcell representing the Tooradin Pony Club won the class for Grade Four Rider Over 13 Years.

Izabella McIntyre representing the well performed Bendigo Pony Club rode her 'Tapu Private Rendezvous' to win the class of Grade Five Rider 10 Years and Under.

Sarah French representing the Riddells Creep Pony Club rode her 'Victory' to second place in the class for Grade One and Two Pony Club Rider and went on to take out the Pony Club Rider Reserve Championship.

Donna Ford representing the Berwick Pony Club rode her 'Heavenly Bliss' to win the class for Grade One and Two Rider and claim the Pony Club Rider Championship.

Abbey Show representing the Bairnsdale Pony Club won the class for Grade Four Pony Club Rider Under 13 Years.
