QRHA QLD Reining Championship and Futurity Show

The Intermediate Open Futurity was taken out by Einstein Flashy Jac owned, trained & ridden by Noel Watson. Also, this pair were the state champions of the Novice Horse Open event.

Docs Fancy Roy & Errol Thomas were equal winners of both the Senior Horse Open & Senior Horse Non-Pro & the state champions of the Horse Non-Pro with with a great score of 145 in that event.

Equal first placegetters in the Green Horse Open were Pretty And Smart & Warren Backhouse.

Andrew Behrens rode Lethals Little Destiny to his first state championship trophy buckle when the pair took out the Hygain Feeds Limited Non-Pro event.

Tell Me A Story & Shelly Peters took home two trophy buckles - one for the win in the Limited Open Reining & the other for winning the Intermediate Non-Pro (after a three-way run-off).

Shaun Saunders rode Whizz Destiny to the win in the Backhouse Training Centre Open Derby with the high score of 146.

Family horse extraordinaire, Micro Chip, took young Bayley Lowe to several buckles at the QRHA Championships & Futurity, including one for the win in the Youth 14 to 18 Years Reining.

David Nixon rode his gelding, A Custom Oak, to a score of 141.5 & wins in both the Joyce Olsen Memorial Non-Pro & Intermediate Non-Pro futurities.

A very happy Thea Griffin displays her first trophy buckle for the show after winning the Junior Horse Non-Pro. Later, the pair picked up another buckle for the win in the Novice Horse Non-Pro Level 1.

The Green Rider Level 1 event was taken out by Leonie Beckhouse & Dunit Chic.

Joanne Auld rode Starbar Proud Little Okie to the win in the Beginner Rider class.

Chantel McInerney became a member of the lost hat brigade when she & El Eban Pickin Up Points made their winning run in the Youth 13 Years & Under class.

Spicy Little Step & Yves Cousinard took out the Intermediate Open Derby with a score of 143.5.

Greer Campbell & Playgirls Whiz enjoyed much success over the four days of the show which included wins in Rookie Level 1 & Level 2 events.

After a three-way run-off, Tim Hoffmann & Predator (140 & 141) took out both the Hogs Breath Non-Pro Derby & Instant Security Alarms Intermediate Non-Pro Derby.

The winners of the Shaun Saunders Training Stables Intermediate Open were Shadyacres Docs Lena & Ed Smith.

Kitten Revolution & Rod Osborne were the winners of the Green Horse Non-Pro event.

Fresh out of hospital & clutching a surgical pillow under her right arm, Joanna Manz bravely competed in several events aboard Rockin J Hustle N Spin.

Whizz Remedy & Katie Jamieson were the Novice Horse Non-Pro Level 2 state champions.

Novice Horse Open Level 2 state champions were Gamble To Win & Darren Simpson.

The winners of the Rookie Professional were Down N Boogie & Carolyn Gorrill.

John Wick piloted Hustlin For Chicks to a win in the Junior Horse Open with a score of 72.5.

The Breeders Cup Open Futurity was taken out by Steve Gibb's A Hollywood Whizz that was trained & shown by Shaun Saunders.

Ruf It Downunder & John Wicks were equal first placegetters in the Green Horse Open.

Back in the competitive arena again after having baby Alexis, Haley Saunders & Whiz Peppy attack the pattern in the Michelle Halliwell Memorial Open Ladies event which they won.

They say never to trust a gal with a gun. Well this one held up the opposition in the Freestyle Reining & got clean away with the goodies! Helen Balu rode Starlights Mesquite to that win & is seen here being congratulated by QRHA President, Tim Hoffmann.

Greg Peters rode Chics Navajo to the Prime Time Non-Pro state championship.

Warren Backhouse & Rocin On The Ranch put in a scintillating run to score a whopping 151 and the Open Reining State Championship.
