Jan Smith (right) was very pleased to catch up with life long friend Nita McAuley, who was a member of the Australian Dressage team in 1976 and 1980. No longer involved with the equestrian world, Nita now paints, winning the landscape section at this years' Darwin Royal, and plays the violin.

A couple of long legged cowboys at the famous multicultural Mindil markets. If you are ever in Darwin do not miss browsing (and tasting) the food stands of Mindle Market and dining on the beach while the sun sets.

When you come from Melbourne it is hard to believe you are in the same country, sitting on Mindil beach in July watching the sunset into the Arafura sea with the temperature about 28 C.
