Reigning NSW Miss Show Girl, Hilary Scott must be the first ever incumbent Showgirl to win a Section 1 class at Sydney Royal. Hilary is pictured aboard her mother, Alice Cameron's imported mare, 'Oaks Miss Scarlet' that jumped two beautiful clear rounds to take out the class. This combination won the Tonimbuk World Cup Qualifier last December and they look as if they are heading towards a sensations season.

Just moments after Chris Chugg and the Australian Sporthorse Breeders' Indoctro mare, 'Alondra' jumped this fence the bit broke and Chris was literally let with a bit in each hand. After a little adjustment Chris and Alondra jumped as couple of bitless fences on the way out. Earlier in the competition Chris jumped clear with one time penalty aboard the Diamond B Stud's Vivant mare, 'Diamond B Vigo' that took third place in the Section 1 class.

Not only has Sydney Royal adopted a new look, thanks to the Greater Western Sydney AFL Club, they have also adopted an up to date result system. RAS Councillor, Charlie Hooke demonstrates how the results now get to the Ringmaster's and Brodcast Box. The Green Coats galloping to the window with a slip of paper is a thing of the past. Now the results are emailed via an ipad in all rings.

The new screen for results and replay etc is the biggest in the Southern Hemisphere and is four times the size of the original screen.
