As well as Grand Prix success, Brett Parbery had a great weekend showing off his younger horses. Brett is pictured riding Susan Duddy's 'DP Weltmieser' (Weltmeyer/Catherston Debutante) to victory in the IRT Advanced Freestyle with 69.58%.

Cornelia O'Mahony who trains with Heath and Rozzie Ryan rode her unmistakably Jive Magic gelding, 'Jive Talkin BP' to take fourth place in the IRT Advanced Freestyle with 65.58%.They produced an entertaining test to music from Paul Simon's Graceland Album.

Deon Stokes was another to produce a really entertaining test riding Kate Barton's talented, Royal Olymp out of a Welt Hit II mare, 'Royal Oak II. They took second place in the IRT Advanced Freestyle with 69.25%.

Robbie Soster is one of a group of really talented young dressage riders that bodes well for the future of Australian dressage. Robbie is pictured during the IRT Advanced Freestyle riding her Rotspon gelding, 'Robali Razzamatazz'.

Successful dressage rider, Rodney Martin rode Andrea Beatty's lovely Welt Hit II mare, 'Weekend Feeling' to third place in the IRT Advanced Freestyle with 67.25%. Rodney rode to an entertaining score including, "You Got That Lovin' Feeling' and some interesting blues music.

Popular and successful Queensland dressage rider and trainer, Tor van den Berge rode Cheryl O'Briens' beautiful Hanoverian stallion, 'Laurie's As' by Londonderry in the IRT Advanced Freestyle. Again the test was set to some really entertaining music including the walk set to 'All By Myself'.

One of the strong New Zealand contingent at the Sydney CDI, Kate Welten rode her Anamour gelding, 'Amajah' to third place in the Riders Shoppe Young Rider Freestyle with 61.04%.

New Zealand has fielded a strong team at the 2011 Sydney CDI Kelly van Dyk and her Werther gelding, 'Wolkhan' were amongst them. They are pictured during the Riders Shoppe Young Rider Freestyle.

Talented Queensland rider, Elliott Patterson rode his delightful Lauries Crusader gelding, 'Leandro' to win the FEI Young Riders Individual test yesterday with 67.01% and today took out the Riders Shoppe Young Riders Freestyle with 69.87%.

New Zealand Team member, Christine Weal won the Gow Gates International Prix St Georges Derby riding Alexis Hellyer's 'Argyle'. The Kiwi's also ran away with the Horseland International Teams competition in collaboration with Vanessa Way riding Diane Stanley's, 'Colonial Hot and Handsome'.

Korean rider, Kyun-Sub Kim rode Connie Bookless' 'UQ Anaplavlova' to fifth place in the Gow Gates International Prix St George Derby. And in partnership with Jun-Sang-Choi aboard Sally McPherson's 'Absolute Indulgence' the Korean Team were fourth in the Horseland International Teams competition.

Young Rider, Grace Kay rode Sonia McDonald's 'Celebrity Park Freya' (Celebrity Park Fabulous Lad/Celebrity Park Stardom) to second place overall in the Hanoverian Horse Society of Australia Four Year Old Young Horse class.

Judy Dierks rode Vicki Newham's 2011 Dressage With The Stars Five Year Old Young Horse Champion, imported to Australia just six months ago, 'Diamond Star' (Diamond Hit/Parole d' Honneur) to a reprise performance in the HHSA Five Year Old class at the Sydney CDI.

Young Rider Grace Kay rather impressively qualified two horses for the HHSA Young Horse finals. She is pictured with her own 'Karingal Jamiriquai' (Jive Magic/Karingal Symphony) that took second place overall in the HHSA class for Five Year Old Young Horses.

Deon Stokes rode Kate Barton's super, Bellissimo son, 'Bellario' out of a Wolkenstein State Premium mare, in the HHSA Six year old Young Horse class. The stallion was 2010 DWTS Five Year Old Champion and 2011 Six year Old Runner up. With a perfect 10 awarded by German guest rider, Anna-Sophie Fiebelkorn and an 8.9 from the seated judges, 'Bellario' was declared HHSA Six Year old young Horse winner.

Nicola Paff rode Kathleen Guest's very well performed young horse, 'Pacific Eclipse' (Heathmont Echo/out of a Salute mare) to second place in the HHSA class for Six Year Old Young Horse class.

Tor van den Berge rode Young Rider winner, Elliott Patterson's lovely and talented imported mare, 'Lady Sinatra' (Lord Sinclair/Costa del Sol) to win he HHSA Four Year Old Young Horse class.

Rozzie Ryan rode Olivia Bunn's multi talented ex eventer, 'GV Bullwinkle' by Rocadero to take second place in the Zilco Intermediate Freestyle with 67.75%.

Well known NSW rider, Rebecca Walshe rode her eight year old Contango II gelding,'Stylist' to eighth place in the Zilco Intermediate Freestyle with 63.55%. Earlier Rebecca rode her 'XL Overtime' by Woodstock to third place with 66.40%.

Just spectacular. Maree Tomkinson rode her own and Lyn Sultana' s beautiful, talented and expressive mare, 'Diamantina' by Diamond Hit to win the Zilco Intermediate Freestyle with 70.80%.

Well-known NSW coach, trainer and journalist, Anne-Maree Cambridge is pictured with her Regardez Moi stallion, 'Byalee Romance' during the popular Stallion Parade.

Blas Lago always has a wonderful time, especially with his talented 'Northern Hector' in a Grand Prix Freestyle. They are pictured during the Hamilton Island Freestyle where as always they entertained the sell out crowd.

Rozzie Ryan's charismatic, Jazz stallion, 'Jive Magic' is really on the comeback trail and working his way back to top form. With always entertaining music they took fifth place in the Hamilton Island Grand Prix Freestyle with 68.45%.

Heath Ryan is always popular with the crowd and as always produced a great and quite new and entertaining score in the Hamilton Island Grand Prix Freestyle..

New Zealand rider, Vanessa Way and her 'KH Arvan' by Anamour took seventh place in the Hamilton Island Grand Prix Freestyle with 65.72%.

Successful Queensland rider, Chantal Wigan rode her talented Ferro gelding, 'Ferero' to sixth place in the 15 strong Hamilton Island Grand Prix Freestyle with 66.15%.

The Hamilton Island Grand Prix Freestylewas always going to be a tough battle between Rachael Sanna and Brett Parbery. Tonight, Rachael really applied the pressure riding Bev Edward's 'Jaybee Alabaster' and on this occasion emerged triumphant, winning with 74.25%. Brett and Victory Salute had to settle for second place with 73.70%. However, their friendly rivalry will make domestic dressage all the more interesting for the rest of the year and beyond.

The New Zealanders have had a great show and to cap off proceedings, Penny Castle rode her , 'Gymstar One' to fourth place in the Hamilton Island Grand Prix with 69%.

Mary Hanna had a really encouraging weekend with her pair of young Grand Prix horses. Sancette was third in the Grand Prix on Thursday and tonight Mary rode her lovely Jazz gelding, 'Umbro' to a promising third place in the Hamilton Island Grand Prix Freestyle with 69.45%.
