The crowd gathered to watch the Pope Cup was shocked when well-known competitor, Margaret Fricker, collapsed and fell from her horse during the competition. Margaret was taken from the arena in an ambulance and her condition was officially described as "serious but stable". Margaret has the good wishes of the entire showing community. The wonderful Clydesdale Pavillion, moved in its entireity from the Moore Park ground, with 'Rusty' the Carlton Clydesdale making himself available for a pat. Sadly the Sydney Carlton Clydesdales are being disbanded with some retireing and the others moving to Melbourne.
