The All Arabian Summer Show

The Queensland Crabbet Committee had a very impressive array of trophies and garlands to be awarded to the winning horses in each class. A great number of entries with competitors attended all eager to start their showing season.

Winner of the 75% & over Filly 1 year & under class 'Wollumbin Soleil' exhibited by Peter McDonald went on to win Champion Crabbet Related Filly.

The Anglo Arabian championship was a family affair with daughter 'City Of Angels' owned by Jessica Wilson winning the Champion ribbon and mum 'Royal Vache' owned by Veronica Mortimer winning the Reserve Champion Anglo Arabian.

'Leondon Knight In White Satin' exhibited by Bruce and Leonie Slattery working out to win Champion Senior Crabbet Related Gelding.

Champion Arabian Pony was filly 'Bracknell Little Doll' shown by Richard Sharman for owner Robert Burgess.

A happy Sharyn Hungerford and her gelding 'Tennessee' with judge Cherie Edwards after winning the Grand Champion Pure Crabbet Exhibit was presented with the "Hi Falutin" Trophy donated by Yvonne Davies.

Champion Arabian Warmblood 'Dicavalli Decadance' owned by Kylee Chandler.

Supreme Champion Derivative went to the Champion Arabian Stockhorse 'Atribute' owned by Jannell Skillington and shown by Christian Rebsdorf with the 3 judges agreeing that he was very true to type of a stockhorse.

Judges Graham Dore (NZ), Jill Thexton (Vic) and Cherie Edwards (Qld) enjoyed the day judging except for the hot temperature which persisted for the entire day.

A different look for Richard Sharman and well known 'Baranski' competing in a saddle class, but the stallion went under saddle late last year and has been successful and also winning the Open Purebred Stallion under Saddle class.

Two young competitors weren't concerned that they were riding in the dark for the final class for the day but to have the opportunity to dress up in costume for judge Cherie Edwards was an enjoyable way to finish their long day of showing.
