Victorian Schools Dressage championships

Current Young Rider Medium Freesyle Champions, Emma Copley and View Bank Boyd represented Mary Mackillop College to win the Medium Championship and the Advanced 5A.

Hannah Bathen and Aldebaran Admeyer from Ivanhoe Grammer competed in the Elementary 3A.

The successful combination of Annabelle MacGugan and Classic Illusion from Geelong Grammer placed second in the Advanced 5A.

Caitlin Westwick and Jimmy produced a good test in the Preparatory 2 for host school, Ballarat Grammar to take fifth place. The event today had a friendly atmosphere with many of the older students supporting the younger ones starting out in dressage.

Madeleine Scott rode Moonlight Park Foxtrot for Ballarat Grammer in the Elementary 3B to take second place.

Meaghan Field representing Kardinia International School rode her Riding Pony, Toy Soldier of Astral in the Preparatory 2 for equal fifth place. The Preparatory tests are basic, without canter and just get give the young combinations an introduction into dressage.

Keeley Thomas riding her well performed Mijay Verity represented Tintern in the Preparatory 1 to take second place.

Jamie Harding rode her new Thoroughbred, Addictive for Clonard College in the Novice 2A placing fourth.

Elizabeth Wischer riding Touch of Honour competed in the Elementary 3B for Toorak College taking equal second place.

Seventeen year old Morgan Duell representing Assumption College rode her successful five year old, Florinzz to win the Elemenary 3A.

Laura Panhurst and CL Special Occasion represented the Goulburn Valley GS in the Novice 2B.

Javais Ham and Strathconan Paldao from Echuca College placed second in the Elementary 3A.

Rachael Wood and Magic Spec from the Kardinia International College competed in the Novice 2B.

Molly Price and Carinyavale Spice from Braemar College kept a good sense of humour when they were invaded by six Cape Barron Geese during their Novice test. The Geese were reluctant to leave but Carinyavale Spice showed some good herding skills to help move them out of the arena.

Brianna Basile and Boy from Notre Dame Collage took sixth place in the Elementary 3A.

Saxon Marvin from Braemar College rode Royal Ascot in the Elementary 3B.

Georgia Adams from The Geelong College rode the wonderful Imperial Corona to second place in the Preliminary 1B.

Cassie Jones representing Tintern Girls Grammar rode Dooley Park Childs play in the Preliminary 1A.

Ava Halloran from the Christian College Bellmont rode her Welsh pony Nattai Sirocco II in the Preliminary 1A.

Holly Cusworth from Geelong Grammar rode Bay Riviera in the Preliminary 1B.

Nerida Sadler and her well performed show pony, Boarder Show Boy Scout represented Kardinia International in the Preliminary 1B.

The delightful combination of Tayor Kinna and Kinnafield Hudson representing Ballarat and Clarendon College were placed equal third in the Preparatory 2.

Gemma Petsinis riding Sharaz Sarina represented Melbourne Girl's Grammer in the Preliminary 1B Division 1.

Grace Joel and Sainsbury from Melbourne Girls Grammer placed sixth in the Elementary 3B.

Mimi Arnott from Ballarat Grammar rode her Welsh Cob, Remlif Park Magic to fifth place in the Elementary 3A.

Gemma D'Adamo from The Geelong College rode Remi Ganesh to second place in the Preliminary 1A Division 2.

Michaela Bray riding Acacia Ridge Vivaldi represented Ivanhoe Grammar in the Medium 4A and Advanced 5A. The Victorian Schools' Dressage Championships hosted by Ballarat Grammar continues to grow each year in both numbers and standard. This year there were ten rings offering everything from preparatory to Advanced including freestyles.

Lily Cowburn from Newham PS rode My Haven Wind Dancer in the Preliminary 1B Division 1.

Francesca Greene and Rapscallian Ed represented Geelong Grammer in the preliminary 1A Division 2.
